DONKEY KICK: ADVANCEMENTS + VARIATIONS

Once you’ve got the basic donkey kick down, try adding pulses or a hold, turning it into a clamshell, or progressing to a flying donkey kick. Want an extra balance challenge? Bring one arm behind your back.

Save this for your next Lagree class, and comment any other donkey kick variations or advancements you’ve tried in class!

ready for something more challenging… this is your sign to try Lagree. 👀

I recently tried the Full Body Sculpt at a new Lagree spot in Vaughan, and I finally understood why everyone talks about how intense these classes are.

Unlike a traditional Pilates class, Lagree is designed around slow, controlled movements, resistance, and time under tension — so even the smallest movements can have your muscles shaking. And trust me… mine were shaking within the first 10 minutes. 😭

What I liked most:
✨ Full-body workout
✨ High-intensity without traditional high-impact cardio
✨ Focus on strength, stability & muscular endurance
✨ Constant core engagement
✨ Easy to modify while still feeling challenging

I tried classes with Veronica and Sebo, and both instructors brought SO much energy to the room.

If you’re looking to switch up your routine and challenge your body in a different way, Lagree is definitely one to put on your list.

Would you try Lagree or are you sticking with Pilates? 👀

The art of never being done learning!!

Lagree is always evolving, with new moves and variations to explore. So being an instructor means staying curious: practicing, experimenting, and figuring out how to bring each movement to life in class.

There’s always something new to learn, and that’s part of what I love about it.

The Lagree tweaks! Some common boo boos instructors correct 💪. A little correction from a good instructor saves you pain and gets you into the correct alignment to maximize your workout efficacy. See ya in class!

Is Lagree Scary? 😬😬😬👹👹👹 Honestly… the first time you see a Lagree machine you might think, What did I sign up for? 😅. I know I did.

There are springs, straps, moving platforms… and a whole lot of muscles you didn’t know you had.

But here’s the thing: you’re not expected to know what you’re doing.

That’s what your instructor is there for. To guide you through every move, show you where to put your hands and feet, explain the springs, the pace, the form… and give you modifications when you need them.

#lagreemethod #lagreeinstructor

And the best part?

It gets better.

The first class might feel unfamiliar. Then you start recognizing the moves. You find your balance. Your form gets stronger. You learn how to control the machine instead of letting it control you.

And suddenly, something that looked intimidating becomes the workout you actually look forward to. It’s so addictive.

You just have to start!

So… is Lagree scary?

It’s challenging. It’s unfamiliar. And yes, it might humble you a little. But come do a Lagree with me Monday and Wednesda evenings at Unity Lagree and I'll show you the ropes!
