Last, but certainly not least is our second post-baccalaureate student Audry Barnes. Give Audry a follow to see what happens in her year at UNL @artbyaudry or at audrybarnes.com

“Audry Barnes was born and raised on her family’s small midwestern farm in Atchison County, KS. She received her BFA in Ceramics with a minor in Art History in May of 2026 from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. With reflection of her formative years accompanied by object experience, Audrys work emerges in a multidisciplinary intersection of ceramics, poetry and painting. In summer of 2025 she was selected for the Chautauqua School of Art six week Residency Program in Chautauqua, New York. Following her residency, she returned to Chautauqua this summer as a teaching artist and studio technician. Her work has been included in the collections of The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Arts and exhibited nationally throughout the northeast and midwest. She currently resides in Lincoln, NE as a Post Bachelors student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.”

The UNL Clay family got extremely lucky and we also got to welcome two new post baccalaureate students. We would like to first introduce Belsy Trigueros @bels_yyy

“Belsy Trigueros is a ceramic artist originally from Yuma, Arizona. She earned her Associate of
Arts degree from Arizona Western College before completing her Bachelors in Studio Art at
Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. During her undergraduate studies, she developed her practice in ceramics and worked as a ceramics studio technician.

Trigueros primarily works with hand-built ceramics and sculptural forms. Her work draws inspiration from nature, religious imagery, and her Mexican-American background. She exploresthemes of spirituality, duality, and balance through forms and symbolic imagery. Her sculptures often combine female figures with animal forms.

Her Catholic upbringing has influenced her interest in religious symbolism and the spiritual
meaning that objects can hold. She is particularly interested in using recurring symbols, such as
eyes, to explore ideas of protection, awareness, and a higher power.

Trigueros is currently a Post Baccalaureate student in Ceramics at the University of Nebraska–
Lincoln. She is continuing to develop her sculptural practice while exploring the relationship
between cultural influences, spirituality and symbolism.”
