What a day. What a room. What an extraordinary gathering of women.

At Prevention, we’re proud to be leading the conversation around menopause, sharing knowledge and helping women feel informed, empowered and, above all, seen and understood.

Today, hundreds of women came together for our World Menopause Day lunch sponsored by @aestheticsrxskincare to learn, laugh and connect.

There were honest conversations, brilliant insights, a beautiful lunch and plenty of fun along the way.

To everyone who joined us, thank you for making today so special.

✨Special thanks to our sponsors: @aestheticsrxskincare @edenvalewines @berleiaus @nu_allume @besins.healthcare @burgenbreadau @sanitarium_au @letsbefrank

And our brilliant speakers: @effiegoodthanks @mary_coustas @_amelia_phillips @drsarahmckay @doctorginni @drgeorgiarigas hosted by Prevention’s editor Zoe Meunier.

Mary Coustas knows a thing or two about making people laugh. But did you know teachers helped shape her story too?

After her own peri+menopause experience, Mary founded UnPause to help women feel more informed and supported through this stage of life.

This Menopause Awareness Month, let’s take a leaf out of Mary’s book and get talking about menopause. Because it’s a conversation worth having.

Menopause isn't a moment. It's a journey.

More than 30 symptoms may be linked to menopause, and they don't always follow a timeline.

One message that stayed with me today at the Australian Menopause Society Congress:

Start with what matters most to you.

Is it your sleep? Your mood? Fatigue? Hot flushes? Or something else entirely?

When you speak with your doctor about menopause, share what is affecting you most right now. That can be the starting point for a more useful, individual conversation.

Because every woman’s experience is different, and being heard matters.
