Babe's Chicken Dinner House. If you live in Texas, you've probably eaten at one of their locations or ended up eating their delicious chicken and mashed 'taters catered to an event. Last Fall at UNT, under the guidance of Professor Douglass May, I reenvisioined the staple of Southern hospitality and fried chicken: Babe's Chicken Dinner House. I created the wordmark, taking inspiration from old barn signage and vintage enamel sign work and extended the brand even further into a window cling, packaging, menu design, a billboard, and even napkins (cause why not). All of the illustrations were hand-drawn on my iPad and slapped on just about anything I could to give it that extra country flair. (This is student work and not an official rebrand of @babes.chicken )

Throwback to a rebrand I reimagined for Natalie's Orchid Island Juice during my last semester at the University of North Texas earlier this year, under the guidance of Professor Stephen Zhang For this project, I focused mostly on the packaging—but of course a brand starts with a logo. I redesigned a logo to feel as fresh and organic as the product produced in the sunny state of Florida. Then, with bright and intricate public-domain illustrations, I collaged 4 distinct monograms to stand boldly on the face of every bottle. (This project was fully for portfolio purposes and has no direct association with the current Natalie's brand @nataliesoj)

School Showcase is all about giving students a chance to share their work, meet professional creatives, and start building connections before they graduate. Last season, we featured @unt_cvad_gd at our Speaker Series with @tchristianhelms , @etamuviscom at Ink Inc. with @weare1976, @easyhandgoodsco, and @spirit.of.salt, and @tcugraphicdesign at Inside the Game with creatives from the @dallasmavs, @fcdallas, and the @dallascowboys. Every event brought out incredible student work, supportive alumni, and a community excited to connect. We can’t wait to keep bringing students and professionals together and celebrating the next generation of creatives this season.
