Some conversations stay with you long after the room clears. Love, Mom & Dad was one of those conversations. Grateful to two amazing moms—Evelyn Piazza and Rae Ann Gruver—for coming to the University of Louisville to tell an extraordinarily difficult story. And grateful to SigEp, campus partners, and every student who came and helped create a space for them to tell it.

Thank you to Rae Ann Gruver and Evelyn Piazza for sharing their stories and helping our campus community better understand the devastating impact of hazing.

Hazing affects more than just the people directly involved. It affects families, organizations, and our entire campus community. Preventing it starts with education, awareness, and having the courage to speak up.

Huge shoutout to our VP of SLC, @charlie_klap for all his hard work, and thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this important conversation possible.

At UofL, there is no place for hazing.

Hazing is a form of interpersonal violence. It can involve coercion, intimidation, humiliation, threats, and the misuse of power within relationships and organizations. And like other forms of violence, prevention starts with recognizing when a culture has normalized behavior that puts people at risk—that's why conversations like this matter.

Join us this Wednesday at 6 PM in the SAC MPR and hear from two incredible moms who are bringing a powerful message to UofL about the impact of hazing on students, families, and communities. Come listen, come learn, and be part of the conversation.
