Was great to catch up with @baodiepp recent grad from @uoftmississauga and alum of @uoftfsae - amazing story of how he is now in #SF working for @perplexity but also how he leveraged his experiences as the BD lead for #utfr. It’s these co-curricular / design team / outside of coursework experiences and opportunities that are so powerful. We had an awesome chat (albeit way too short) over 🍕. The only downside to him being in SF it seems is that fellow alums from @uoftfsae are way down in the Bay and it’s a bit of a trek @maurodeliberato @eric.emmenegger

Thank you to everyone who came out to Toronto Shootout 2026! 💙🏁 Every team, volunteer, and spectator helped make this year’s event one to remember 🙌

From October 2nd to 4th, 23 teams and around 700 participants, volunteers, and spectators packed Brechin Motorsport Park, with 20 cars hitting the track for a weekend of racing, camping, and FSAE community.

A huge congratulations to @formule_ets 🏆for taking first in both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Cups. Well deserved!

Special thanks to our sponsors SAE Ontario, Aventry Medical, and Hoosier for making this event possible, and to our host track, Brechin Motorsport Park, for having us.

We always have a blast hosting this event every year, and we can’t wait to welcome you all back next season. See you on track! 🏎️

One month into @uoftmie @uoftengineering for @nikolai_beryoza - welcome to #Skule. Super fun chat about his interest in #mecheng and how the design teams that he has joined @uoftfsae @autoronto_uoft and also his interest in summer research abroad - maybe 🇩🇪🇨🇭- as a precursor to research #PEY and his interest in graduate studies. HInt : Global Experiences Week is coming up - so check it out for ideas about #goingglobal l. Another non-#Chestnut dweller - so interesting this year to see where people are living and to hear how it’s working out - go @trinitycollegetoronto 👍.

Good to meet the @uoftfsae team leads for coming year. Got the scoop on the plans for this year’s car and the objectives for both Michigan and Germany - very exciting and challenging for sure. Astounding to hear the interest in joining the team 👍👍👍 Love seeing the interest from non-engineering students and can’t wait to the new car demo.

🏎️ Formula One isn’t just a dream for U of T Engineering students... it’s a co-op placement.

Meet three students who recently completed PEY Co-op work terms with F1 teams. Designing aerodynamic components, testing materials and validating power units, they applied their engineering skills at the highest level of motorsport ⬇️

• Winston Young, EngSci Aero 2T6 + PEY, Aerodynamics Department, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team

• Jasnoor Hazooria, Material Science 2T6 + PEY, Materials Engineering Industrial Placement, Atlassian Williams F1 Team

• Brian Kang, EngSci Robotics 2T6 + PEY, Trackside Engineering Placement, Red Bull Powertrains

🏁 Formula One applications open soon. Stay tuned for details on how to apply.

🎓 Celebrating Our Grads: Meet Aarabhi Krishnakumar (MechE 2T5 + PEY). Across her degree, she took on five internships — among them a year with the BWT Alpine Formula One Team in Oxford, England.

Her other roles spanned Canada Post, Bombardier Aerospace, Lockheed Martin and the Canadian Space Agency, taking her from mail sorting systems to private jets to Canada’s naval ships. The back-to-back placements at Bombardier and Lockheed Martin counted as her PEY Co-op.

At Alpine, Aarabhi worked as a build and test intern, bridging the design and build teams, with a trip to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix.

Together, those internships helped land her a role as a process engineer at Tesla Toronto. Her new boss, a fan of the sport himself, told her it was the F1 experience that caught his eye.

👏 Congratulations, Aarabhi!
