Good to meet the @uoftfsae team leads for coming year. Got the scoop on the plans for this year’s car and the objectives for both Michigan and Germany - very exciting and challenging for sure. Astounding to hear the interest in joining the team 👍👍👍 Love seeing the interest from non-engineering students and can’t wait to the new car demo. by @uoftfsae

🏎️ Formula One isn’t just a dream for U of T Engineering students... it’s a co-op placement.

Meet three students who recently completed PEY Co-op work terms with F1 teams. Designing aerodynamic components, testing materials and validating power units, they applied their engineering skills at the highest level of motorsport ⬇️

• Winston Young, EngSci Aero 2T6 + PEY, Aerodynamics Department, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team

• Jasnoor Hazooria, Material Science 2T6 + PEY, Materials Engineering Industrial Placement, Atlassian Williams F1 Team

• Brian Kang, EngSci Robotics 2T6 + PEY, Trackside Engineering Placement, Red Bull Powertrains

🏁 Formula One applications open soon. Stay tuned for details on how to apply.

This past weekend, a handful of our top female engineering students had the incredible opportunity to participate in the @anneroymotorsportinitiative at the @ontarioindy

Through the initiative, our students had the chance to walk alongside and connect with IndyCar team engineers, race engineers, technical series staff, members of the IndyCar medical team, and many other industry professionals. From learning about different career paths to hearing firsthand experiences from those working in the sport, it was an incredible opportunity to gain insight into the many ways to build a career in motorsport.

The Anne Roy Motorsport Initiative is helping bridge the gender gap in motorsport and create more opportunities for Canadian women to build careers in the sport they love. We’re incredibly grateful to Anne for investing in the next generation of women in motorsport and for giving our students the opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired.

Thank you @anneroymotorsportinitiative and @ontarioindy for an unforgettable weekend!

A huge thank you to Centering Tech for sponsoring University of Toronto Formula Racing for the 2026 season!

Centering Tech graciously provided us with carbon rims for UT26. Not only are carbon rims significantly lighter than their aluminum alternatives, but they provided us with a noticable upgrade in our car’s acceleration and cornering performance.

From everyone at UTFR, we sincerely thank Centering Tech for their contribution to our car, and we could not be happier to have them as an official sponsor for the 2026 season!
