Matsarya - envy is what we want to talk about today. Our sixth and last inner enemy of yoga. This will be my last post for now, as I'm going on THE vacation and won't be back on IG until September. So let's have one last #prevacationsyogainconverse #realtalk today.

Matsarya - the sixth of the 6 inner enemies:
Matsarya (envy): Jealousy and resentment towards the happiness, success or possessions of others that can lead to conflict and disharmony. Envy, jealousy, ostentation or vanity and pride
We all know envious people, so it is worth going a little deeper and analyzing the possible causes of this behavior. Resentment and envy are not only unpleasant for our fellow human beings, as they conceal unhappiness, dissatisfaction and low self-esteem.

Envy is the sixth deadly sin, it poisons the soul but is deeply rooted in us as it has certain evolutionary advantages. However, this intense feeling is destructive and hurtful. If you can identify envious people, you can protect yourself and deal with them properly. No one wants to be identified as an envious person because this feeling is shameful and immature. Most people therefore try to hide envy and resentment behind a shell, just as they try to hide their insecurity and lack of self-esteem.
1. they destroy illusions
2. they criticize in public
3. they are hypocritical
4. they do not support you
5. they are highly competitive and performance-oriented
6. they inhibit the personal development of others
7. they disappear from your life unexpectedly
8. they whisper behind your back
9. they compare their achievements with yours
10. they wish you ill

Not always looking at others
The last point is matsarya, envy. It's about not always looking at how well others are doing, what great things they have and what a great car with rims they have 😉 Instead, we should be satisfied with what we have and not always look at others and thus develop envy. Remember that your emotional well-being and your health come first.

Hello everyone, welcome to the #yogainconverse
Instead of the classic #realtalk you are used to, I would like to talk to you about something else today. Maybe you know it yourself, but I think it's not really on the radar of 90% of people. But May is Multiple Sclerosis Month, May 30th is World Multiple Sclerosis Day, and let's be honest, this disease is really no walk in the park. And so far, there is no cure. Multiple sclerosis (MS) or encephalomyelitis disseminata (ED) is a chronic inflammatory neurological autoimmune disease with very different forms, which is why it is also called the "disease with a thousand faces". The exact causes of this demyelinating disease have not yet been clarified, despite major research effort.

I don't know how familiar you are with multiple sclerosis, if you know someone, in your family or circle of friends, or at work, or just heard about it. But for me, this is a very important issue, which should definitely be addressed openly and honestly. I myself have two acquaintances who both suffer from different forms of MS, which could not be more different.
That's why I'm going to raise funds for MS research this month and try to run as many km as possible, I had planned to run 150km for MS research.
Now my unconventional question / please, I can use any support, not only me but also the #DMSG. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference. Thank you from the bottom of my heart if you would like to support me with your donationEvery donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference. Thank you from the bottom of my heart if you would like to support me with your donation ❤️

Hello everyone, today I wanted to talk to you about our consumer behavior for the #yogainconverseweekend. We're probably all aware that we can't go on the way our society is at the moment without collapsing in time. So let's have a little #reaktalk....
If you adapt your consumer behavior, you can make your everyday life more sustainable with just small things. You can also save money by consuming less and more consciously in general. Rethink your consumer behavior: avoid packaging waste
You can drastically reduce packaging waste with just a few simple changes to your consumer behavior. In this way, you can help to protect the environment. You can find out what you can do here:
*Tap water in Germany is of drinking water quality. It is also cheaper than bottled water. If you want to drink sparkling water, you can use a sparkling water maker.
*Unpackaged food is also available in normal supermarkets. Try to buy food such as fruit or vegetables without plastic packaging. A fruit bag, which you can also sew yourself, can help.

Reduce consumption
The best way to be more environmentally conscious is to consciously rethink your purchasing decisions and ask yourself whether you really need to buy this product new. In many cases, you can buy a product second-hand or borrow it.
*If you need a tool that you will rarely use, you can start by asking around in your circle of friends. Perhaps someone can lend you this tool.
*For clothes, you can buy second-hand clothes on the Internet or in second-hand stores and also sell your second-hand clothes. There are also more and more clothes swap parties.
*Leave the car at home and cycle when the weather is nice and take the bus or train. If you can't do without your car, form car pools.
-> Take care of your environment and pick up and dispose of litter from time to time. The environment belongs to all of us.
How about a little challenge for the new month?
How about trying not to buy any "unnecessary things" for 30 days and starting to build up an awareness of consumption habits. This way, we can learn how much we actually need and what makes us happy. Remember that clothes or electronics don't have to be essential....

Hello everyone. I know I'm a bit late again.... But better late than never.... Let's talk about openness this week - what does it mean to be open?
Openness: Isn't it all yoga?

Openness is an important quality that affects different areas of our lives. It stands for the ability to accept new ideas, opinions and experiences. Openness enables us to think more flexibly and develop further.

But what exactly is behind openness?
Openness can be defined as the willingness to accept and engage with new information. It also includes openness to new ideas, opinions and perspectives from other people. An open-minded person is curious, tolerant and not dogmatic in their thinking.
Openness has different facets that extend to different areas of our lives:
*Openness to new experiences: Open-minded people are willing to try new experiences and embrace the unknown. They are curious and open to new paths and possibilities.
*Openness to other people: Openness implies acceptance of people with different backgrounds, opinions and beliefs. Open-minded people are tolerant and respect the diversity in our society.
*Openness to change: Open-minded people are adaptable and willing to adjust to changing circumstances. They see change as an opportunity for personal development and growth.
When we are open, we don't get stuck in our usual thought patterns, but broaden our horizons. Openness enables us to learn new skills and develop ourselves further. We are willing to learn from our mistakes and explore new paths. This allows us to realize our full potential and achieve personal growth.
How about some art and culture? Pampering the mind in other ways? It's also yoga, by the way. Oh, isn't everything yoga? Tip: This week, take on something you've never done before. Be open and allow yourself to embark on a new journey to yourself. Whether it's a fitness class that makes you feel queasy or an Italian course. Keep an open mind! The important thing is that you leave your familiar territory. You'll feel amazing afterwards. Put your hand on it!

Peace of mind refers to a deep inner peace. Peace of mind is inner balance, inner calm. You can regain your peace of mind, you can keep your peace of mind, but you can also lose it.
The word peace of mind also makes it clear that real peace can only be found deep within the soul.
We also want to work for peace in the world and we want to treat others peacefully. We also want to deal peacefully with our own desires and emotions. But true peace can only be found deep within the soul, deep within who we really are. Those who practise traditional yoga styles will not be able to avoid the topic of peace. If only because in many yoga classes the "Om Shanti Shanti Shanti" (repeated three times, as it is also found in the Isha Upanishad) is chanted as the opening and closing mantra. Translated from Sanskrit, Shanti means "deep (inner) peace".

In fact, shanti, or peace, is much more than that - it is the actual goal of all yoga. At least that is how Krishna explains it in the Bhagavad Gita (chapter 6, verse 15):
"He who practices yoga attains a peace that allows one to leave earthly existence behind
and become one with the divine again."
However, Krishna is not talking about world peace here, but about the feeling of inner peace. This inner peace is also what many practitioners seek in yoga. After all, quite a few people find it difficult to experience this essential state of true calm and acceptance in their hectic and pressurised everyday lives.

Yoga is actually a very effective method for stepping out of the activism and drama of modern everyday life, becoming clear and at peace with yourself and the world. The physical exercises (asanas) reduce stress hormones and allow for more flexibility, both internally and externally. Of course, you won't feel all these wonderful effects in your first yoga class. Yoga is not a pill that you can take to make you feel better (in the short term). You have to make a conscious decision to do something for yourself and your inner peace, you have to become active yourself, you have to practise, and practise again and again to learn the techniques that allow you to let go, to move from mindlessly reacting to actively creating.

Kshama, the Sanskrit term for forgiveness, patience and tolerance and our topic for today's #yogainconversefriday Kshama is an important virtue that everyone should develop. Kshama means to forgive, to pardon. Kshama is when you look past an offence or fault. It is the willingness or inclination to forgive or apologise. A person who can forgive is merciful and compassionate. To err is human, to forgive is divine.
The pretence of forgiveness is common. Real forgiveness is rare. When you practise kshama, you become strong and noble. You easily control your anger. Forgiveness saves the energy needed for anger, the cost of anger, the waste of mind. Those who practise kshama stop harbouring resentment or grudges against a person who has hurt them.
Kshama or forgiveness is an antidote to anger. When we ask for forgiveness, we are primarily seeking the removal of anger. "Forgive, apologise" refers more to external things or effects and is often used for insignificant matters, such as when we ask for an apology for an interruption.

So that's it from me for now, a little insight into the topic of #kshama and now don't forget to stop by @kroniqofficial and leave your opinion if you want
