8/2/26 Solo camping and fishing trip on the Arkansas River near Buena Vista. Finished the day with 12 brownies on the hopper dropper. Water temps running past 72 by 1pm (obviously stopped before then), but made for a nice afternoon at the swimming hole.

🏔️ 737+ miles driven, zero lines in the water, but one unforgettable Colorado road trip! 🇺🇸

While we didn't have the time to actually gear up and fish Colorado's legendary rivers on this trip, we spent an incredible week on the road, driving over 737 miles to connect with the state’s amazing fly fishing community. 🚗💨

Our journey took us on a massive loop, connecting the northern regions of Denver—exploring Fort Collins, Boulder, Arvada, Lafayette, and Longmont—all the way down south through Littleton, Lone Tree, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Salida, and Buena Vista.

Everywhere we stopped, we were warmly received by fantastic fly shops teams that showed a deep interest in partnering with us to host exclusive group trips to Patagonia for their clients.

A major highlight of the tour was having the opportunity to give a live presentation about our operation and hometown in Argentina. A huge, heartfelt thank you to Brad & Sherry Tomlinson for graciously organizing this event at The Peak Fly Shop, and to the packed, enthusiastic audience who joined us with amazing energy! 🥂🇦🇷

We are officially back home in San Martín de los Andes and ready to put some epic dates on the calendar for the upcoming seasons!!

Fresh update straight from the river this week. 🌊🏔️
The Arkansas River is running technical and splashy right now with clear water, and some incredible beaches showing up along the banks. For families with young kids this is honestly one of the best conditions of the season. Think boogie boarding, wading, and easy access to the water without the big whitewater.
Fly fishing is dialed in right now. Clear water makes it easier to spot and target fish. Anglers, this is your window. 🎣
Flows are dropping off a bit this week which makes inflatable kayaks the move. Lower Browns Canyon is running as a perfect half day trip for inflatables and is one of the most scenic stretches of the river you can float. And if you have been wanting to learn to hardshell kayak, the water is forgiving and manageable right now making it one of the best times of summer to give it a try.
The river looks a little different every week out here. That is what makes it so good. Come see it for yourself. 🏔️

Adventure szn is upon us. Hope you’re making big plans for whatever your favorite summer activity is.
 A fun collection of work I’ve been capturing lately. Rock climbing, kayaking, fly fishing, river surfing. These are the days I feel genuinely thankful to be a creative person doing what I love in the wild outdoors.
