We tried the market veggie and the Italian-ish sandwich and wow when I say they were loaded with flavor! The Italian sandwich is packed with tasty meats and the flavor in the veggies in the veggie sandwich are so delicious ! Lately A bunch of small victories, special moments, a lot to be thankful for. Sometimes I’m so caught up in keeping life moving that I don’t stop long enough to take it in. Looking through these photos, I’m glad I reflected and smiled back on a little of it. Good people in my life . Hard earned progress I'm really fucken proud of. Moments I want to give myself time to appreciate. Trying to slow down enough to FEEL it while I’m here. I guess we should all take a moment to think about the broke down, trying to figure shit out, starving for a break version of ourselves and remind him it's gonna be all good. #keepfuckenpushing

FOLKS! Let’s go to a block party! The amazing people at @uptown_provisions invited me to join their block party, celebrating 5 years of serving great food to the community! While attending the block party Mrs. Meals and I had some incredible items from 3 of the vendors who were there for the fun! First was from the fantastic people from @ffrugalcoffee ! Dolores had their Matcha with Pumpkin Spice cold foam, a definite hit for the fall season! And I had their Mudslide Latte which was rich and chocolatey with an amazing banana flavor added to it! Everything they do is in house and done with such care! Amazing drinks! Without a doubt: 10/10 Next we had one of the most incredible bites I’ve ever had from @eldistricto14 with the Ribeye Taco with Bone Marrow! The beef was beyond tender to the point where I didn’t even need to chew! The salsa they made was smokey, fragrant, fresh, and bright; the perfect accompaniment with something so rich! AND THEN THEY TOP IT WITH BONE MARROW!? Without question: 10/10 And finally, we had a Raspberry Cheesecake from the hard working crew that is @providence_bakehouse ! Now, Dolores is a known cheesecake hater, but this cheesecake!? Made her a believer! The perfect balance of sweetness, tang, and texture; this cheesecake was most likely the best cheesecake I’ve ever had and Dolores couldn’t help but agree! Of course: 10/10! All these places deserve their own full review and will be getting one very soon! Thank you Uptown Provisions for inviting us, but also having the grit and determination to stay in business for 5 years! Catch you guys next time! Where should I eat next!? #smallbusiness #goodeats #whittiereats #uptownwhittier #foodreview

Sarah and @chefaaronmelendrez celebrated five years of @uptown_provisions with a community block party that had free rides, games, experiences and crafts for kids. They also brought out a lot of fellow food vendors and turned their block in Uptown Whittier into a festival this past Sunday. I had a great time joining Aaron and Sarah Melendrez, the Uptown Provisions team, and the Whittier community for High Five Fest, a community block party celebrating five years in Uptown Whittier. I was proud to present Uptown Provisions with a California State Senate Certificate of Recognition for creating local jobs, supporting local businesses, and investing in our community. Congratulations on five years and wish you continued success. #UptownProvisions #HighFiveFest #Whittier #SmallBusiness #SD30

Bringing Art Haus to Uptown Provision’s 5-year anniversary was pure magic Watching everyone jump into creating made my whole heart full.. When it comes to the way I curate these events everything has to have a meaning. •The Sandwich: I cutout ingredients out of construction paper where everyone got to build their own paper sando. •5-Year High Fives: Cutout hands brought to life with color and drawings from so many sweet faces to celebrate five years in the biz •Custom Pins: A Custom pin-designing station where people can put their own art on a pin •Custom Uptown Provision's coloring pages And a whole lot of Art Haus merch making its way into the wild! Moments like this hit different. Seeing the kids light up, feeling the immense kindness from parents, and hearing your encouraging words reminded me why I started this. You all gave me a newfound belief in myself and the fire to keep creating, teaching, and growing. A massive thank you to Chef Aaron, Sarah, and Rio for bringing me into such an incredible milestone. Celebrating 5 years of Uptown Provision alongside you was an honor! Here’s to community, creativity, and keeping the arts alive. Thank you, Whittier! ✨ Thanks to my husband for always helping me @drdoughnuts Thanks to @jusjayson for helping me making this run smoothly and for being the artist you are.
