Want to thank everyone who took the time to show up for themselves and do some internal self care At Jazz & Journals. Having a safe space to share, create, and connect as the energy of the intentions filled the room was an amazing experience. Different stories , multiple insight, all while speaking the same language! Emphasizing that we are all walking each other home! Thank you @behrconnect for collaborating and allowing us to utilize the space. Thank you to the artists who also created during this time and blessed the space with their gifts. Poetry: @_poeticwisdom_ @mya.nashae Art: @dyvonne.art Music: @uriel__993 @silk_back_words We look forward to the next session!

Truly honored by the support and request to bring back Jazz & Journals! Looking forwards to creating, sharing, and being present in real time! Showing how we are truly just walking each other home and are speaking a universal language ! You don’t have to be an artist! You don’t have to share what you journal! Just show up for you and be you! Experience the vibes! Embrace the energy and allow the rest to fall in place! Hope to see you there. Registration link is in bio!

We really do have it all this week... Tom McDermott isn’t just a pianist — he’s a walking encyclopedia of New Orleans music with a playful streak and a deep, restless creativity. While Millie and Candy may sound sweet, they're anything but. With gator teeth guitar picks and dynamite drumsticks, they've been howling their way through dive bars, juke-joints, and revered venues from fracture all the way to Vegas. Mixing a batch of gumbo blues with flavors from Mississippi John Hurt, Gary P. Nunn, Gregg Allman, and more. Washboard Chaz is known for his engaging stage presence and ability to captivate audiences with his rhythmic, soulful washboard playing. His music is deeply rooted in the blues tradition, but he also incorporates elements of jazz, country, and other genres into his performances. Chaz's contribution to New Orleans' music scene has garnered him local and international recognition, making him a beloved figure in the city's rich musical heritage. Uriel is a talented musician based in Louisiana, drawing inspiration from blues, jazz, R&B, and rock and roll. Her passion for music led her to dedicate her life to singing, songwriting, and creating music that spreads love and light to everyone she encounters. Through her music, Uriel continues to make a positive impact, inspiring others through creativity, authenticity, and a deep love for the art of music. (Ticket links in bio)
