Take a quick look at the works exhibited for our group show, Instinctively Many, at the Kanoria Centre for Arts (@kanoriacentre) as a parallel to India Art Fair Editions, Ahmedabad.

Instinct arrives before language does: the hand choosing a mark, a colour, a form before thought has caught up enough to explain it. What’s rare now isn’t instinct itself, but anything reaching us before it’s already been interpreted for us.

Instinctively Many takes its name from that narrowing gap: a small, deliberate return to the moment before interpretation arrives first. It unfolds through multiplicity, a plural, unruly artistic spirit that fits neither the minimal white cube nor the internet’s flattened notion of contemporary.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mrs. Urmila Kanoria for collaborating with us for the brilliant show.

I made a spontaneous and impulsive decision to go to Mumbai last Saturday and that same evening I went to a walkthrough of Salik’s @words_and_images show at Six Continuum @six.continuum

The show “Lightly, Lightly” curated by artist Salik Ansari is an education in how to bring artists together, and a must see for anyone and everyone in Mumbai. I am glad I caught the walkthrough, and very happy to have seen the space.

The two artists currently being shown are incredible. The depth and scale of @krishishahart Krishi’s paintings are perfectly balanced by the intensity and weight of @deepak_k_agasthya Deepak’s meditative and repetitive drawings. Having been seeing Nasreen Mohamedi and Bice Lazzari’s work this past few weeks, I couldn’t but make associations. So much is present in their works for any keen explorer of visual languages and yet in many ways they are formally minimalist. There is a lightness in both as the title suggests, although of very different kinds.

Believe me, you won’t get bored.

The handout brochure they’ve produced is definitely one of the best I have ever seen: designed by Sibya @sibya.r

I missed the opening of Six Continuum, and I missed their first two shows but it is exactly the kind of space I love to see in the art world: caring, welcoming, warm, and aggressively pushing the artists under their umbrella. Also, amazing merchandise—so looking forward to getting some very soon.

Escaped the city noise for a bit to check out the Slow Time solo show. It is a collection of hand-built ceramics by @childofcuriosity that were fired in traditional wood kilns in Japan, which gives the clay this chaotic, metallic texture.

@six.continuum ‘s layout works so well because the super clean gallery backdrop lets all those heavy, raw earth tones actually pop. It is a great space to just wander around and look at the details.

If you want to check it out, the exhibition runs all the way until August 28, 2026 except sundays. Take an appointment lovelies x

We are delighted to invite you to an exclusive preview of Slow Time, a presentation of new works by Pooja Chamudiya.

Thou foster-child of silence and slow time...

When Keats addressed a clay vessel two centuries ago, he understood something every potter knows in their hands: clay keeps a slower clock than we do. It must be coaxed, not hurried, formed and dried and then finally given over to the fire, where the maker loses control and waits.

Pooja Chamudiya’s work lives inside that patience. Her work carries the quiet of the hands and the memory of the kiln, holding stillness. Each piece is a small argument for slowness in a restless age — an object that asks to be returned to, again and again.

This intimate presentation offers collectors a first look at Pooja’s latest body of hand-built ceramics & serves as an invitation to stand still in their company.

drafting disorientations

A two-day show presented by the Year Two MA Contemporary Art Practice students at 1ShanthiRoad.
The show will have works from "Making Space for Art" studio in collaboration with 1Shanthiroad and "Text and Textuality" research writing seminar at the Just Futures Co-Lab.

underpinning both sites were a set of explicitly anti-colonial, anti-caste, and queer- and trans-feminist epistemologies that disoriented our art forms uniquely and to which we remained critically oriented. In particular, if sara ahmed’s writings in queer phenomenology (2006) served as a guiding text for many of us in the studio, it was the “scholarly dis-/re-/orientation” opening to the seminar that amplified our individual forms of thinking—and the connections we re-made with our respective projects through methods of drafting, reworking, reviewing, and rewriting.
