Getting a clear MRI can be especially challenging for the smallest patients: babies.  USC researchers are working to change that with low-cost, 3D-printed MRI coils using silver ink that can be customized to fit a patient’s size and produced in less than 10 minutes — and at a fraction of the cost. The customized coils can help produce affordable, high-quality MRI scans with improved signal capture and image quality. New year, new resolutions, same challenge!🥳 🥾⛰️🏞️ Back again by popular demand, USC Radiology Hikers Challenge! Graciously hosted by Kristen Oleary (center, right), these challenges will consist of a series of monthly hikes, ranging from moderate to difficult, all within reasonable distance of Los Angeles. Likely running until it gets too hot to hike 🥵! January 19, we're headed above Altadena for the Echo Mountain and Inspiration Point Loop (11 miles). There may be a few challenging elevations, but there are branching trails of easier difficulty and still the option of turning back after a decently long hike together.
