alexander r. galloway argues in "gaming: essays on algorithmic culture" (2006) that video games are defined by action. he describes gaming as a relationship between the operator and the machine. the player acts through inputs, but the machine acts too: software responds, changes states, calculates outcomes, and continues operating even when play itself is paused. galloway calls these forms of activity “gamic action.”
for galloway, a video game is not simply an image, story, or interactive text. it is a cybernetic software system enacted through the actions of both player and machine.

So...maybe you don't know this but...

UTA Libraries has a world class gaming space! The Basement, which is, in well, the basement. (Press B on the Elevator or ya walk downstairs, we promise it's fine!)

Did you come to the launch party? Honestly, there's so much to do and get involved with, it's better if you just come and check it out yourselves.

Hey everyone! With a quarter of our series currently out we wanted to give some updates:

First, we wanted to give you all a heads up on future release dates so you can know when to expect future episodes! This also gives a sneak peak at their titles 👀

Second, we've heard you all's feedback and will be working to remaster episodes 1 and 2 to make the audio easier to understand.

We wanted to thank you all again for joining us on this journey and we look forward to sharing the rest of our story with you all!

Hey everyone! We’re really excited to share Project Crit with you all.
Project Crit is a student lead D&D podcast featuring 5 UTA students adventuring into the cursed and unknown. Listen and watch along as they uncover mysteries, battle the dangerous Blight, and try to save the world.
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our live premiere of the trailer yesterday, but in case you missed it, the link to our YouTube is in our bio where you can still catch it!
