✨ 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘇𝗮’𝘀 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂 ✨ This month’s theme: 𝗔 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲

Each month, I curate a selection from the gallery — a focused constellation of works shaped by a shared emotional or conceptual thread.

For this edition, I was drawn to the many shades of blue and the ways each artist gives the colour its own character. Through synthetic sapphire, anodised titanium, enamel and painted surfaces, blue takes on different depths, textures and intensities.

Sometimes a subtle accent, sometimes a vivid presence. A colour that can evoke open skies, deep water, or the memory of a place we carry within us.

Jewellery brings these associations close to the skin. The blue we choose to wear becomes personal — an echo of our mood, a spark of imagination, a little brightness in an ordinary day.

The ICEberg brooches reflect a growing indifference towards nature. Their forms recall melting ice, fragile and in constant transformation. The material appears to flow and shift, building layer by layer into organic structures. Each piece becomes a wearable reflection on time, change, and the delicate balance of natural systems. Die Broschen der Serie ICEberg spiegeln eine zunehmende Gleichgültigkeit gegenüber der Natur wider. Ihre Formen erinnern an schmelzendes Eis, sind fragil und im ständigen Wandel. Das Material scheint zu fließen und sich Schicht für Schicht organisch aufzubauen. Jede Arbeit wird so zu einer tragbaren Reflexion über Zeit, Veränderung und das fragile Gleichgewicht der Natur. “Dove l’arte incontra l’ornamento - Where art meets Ornament” presents the Permanent Contemporary Jewellery Collection of the Raffaele Cominelli Foundation at Leonesia – Fondazione Vittorio Leonesio, Puegnago del Garda, from 28 June to 11 October 2026

Curated by Rita Marcangelo, in collaboration with Maria Rosa Franzin and Rossella Tornquist for AGC – Associazione Gioiello Contemporaneo, with the contribution of Rosanna Padrini Dolcini (Raffaele Cominelli Foundation) and Renata Coltrini (Leonesia – Fondazione Vittorio Leonesio), the exhibition showcases one of the few public collections dedicated to contemporary jewellery

Comprising 102 works by artists from 25 countries, the collection highlights the diversity of contemporary jewellery through conceptual, design, historical, and aesthetic research, featuring works in both precious and alternative materials. Organised into four thematic sections, the exhibition offers visitors an overview of the field while exploring the creative, cultural, and technical richness of contemporary jewellery.

What happens when white is not only a colour, but a landscape?

𝗨𝘁𝗲 𝗞𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿’𝘀 𝙀𝙞𝙨𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙜 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 are unique pieces crafted in copper and white enamel, where surface, structure, and material transformation come together in a quiet but powerful composition.

Selected for 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the collection reflects Kolar’s distinctive ability to create works that feel both organic and architectural. The white enamel evokes ice, snow, and mineral formations, while subtle textures give each brooch its own rhythm and depth.

In some pieces, a delicate shade of pink appears softly through the enamel — an unexpected warmth within the luminous white surface.
