🍎Have you thanked a teacher lately?

Thanks to Dresden Elementary School Kindergarten teacher Kelley Frogge (1st pic on right) from the Utica Community School District *and* Stevenson Elementary School Principal Tonya Hickman and Literacy Coach Denise Bush from Southfield Public Schools for opening up your classrooms to me (the 2nd & 3rd pics are from Stevenson Elem.).

📹 I interviewed them for my Back to School story on how teachers are preparing to welcome kids this year.. and keep them safe.

P.S. Ms. Frogge posted on Facebook some tips and tricks for parents…and that post was shared about 30,000 times!

Today is Revenge of the Fifth! To use the dark side of the Force is to give into emotions. Is this a bad thing?!?

Happy National Teacher Appreciation Day! 🍎

It’s been a tough year for everyone, especially educators, which is why it’s so important we show our appreciation to the teachers in our lives.

They adapted to a sudden and total change, and kept our children learning throughout this pandemic. As schools reopen, they are at the forefront of that change.

An extra-special shoutout to
Birmingham Public Schools, @detroitk12, @roschools and @northvillepublicschools for collaborating on the projects photo’d here.

Thank you for all your support and guidance that you have given to our communities. We appreciate you!
