Some races don’t go as planned and that’s something I’m just gonna have to be okay with. Ran through torrential downpours and more mud and slick rocks than I care to remember, but still had a fun time on Saturday. Grateful for good gear and even better friends!

An absolute delight of a morning on the trails with my friends from @altrarunning!

Super grateful today for:
- sunshine 😎☀️🌞
- lungs that work (even when my heart is wonky donkey) 🫁🫀
- work friends with long enough arms to take good group selfies (lookin’ at you @ali_curry_ and @beepieruns!) 🤳
- new friends who have fascinating hobbies (I learned about foraging today!) 🍄
- little surprises in nature 🦋
- legs that’ll always get me where I’m going, no matter how fast or slow 🦵🏃🏻‍♀️

Hell Mary was a hell of a lot of fun (mixed with some agony 🤪) and @schreinertrailphotography captured the best and worst of us out there.

Photo roundup Pt 1:
1) Cheering like hell for @the.happy.athlete in her longest run yet! So proud of you, Julie!
2) This diva crushed her first ultramarathon! Elma, you are a beast!
3) Probably a shoe change…again.
4) Could not have done this without @v.running.wild and her boundless energy and enthusiasm!
5) The ONLY time you will ever see me running in front of @the.happy.athlete and @julieknechtel because they are fast and I…am just having a lot of fun.
6) Post race thoughts.
7) V serving up hope and inspiration, one water bottle at a time!
8) My mom: “Are you laughing or crying in that picture?” Me: “Both?”
9) No, definitely laughing. Probably bc @schreinertrailphotography was hiding in a bush.
10) Yep…
