Der Greif Studio adds value within workspaces and hospitality venues by curating dynamic artwork combinations and artist led events that can breathe new life into your living spaces.

In early summer, we launched two displays at mirror. (@mirror.onl) Munich offices and the Max Brown Missori Hotel (@maxbrownhotels) lobby, where friends also joined us for an artist talk led by Alex Valentina (@alexvxvxvxvx) and Claudia Fuggetti (@lafugg), in conversation with Chiara Bardelli Nonino (@chiaranonino).

Artists featured in the reel: Katya Ilina (@katya__ilina), Rosa Lacavalla (@rosalacavalla), Vincent Forstenlechner, Alessio Pellicoro (@a_pellicoro), Paolo Prendin (@paolo_prendin), Yurian Quintanas Nobel (@yurian_quintanas), Lilika Strezoska (@lilika_strezoska), Greta Valente (@saaiph), Alex Valentina (@alexvxvxvxvx).

“Are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet ever the same ? The steady movement keeps me from knowing.”

The project ROYGBIV focuses on the oblique and wistful feeling that occurred when re-visiting my hometown in Austria. The series attempts to unravel what it means to feel connected while
at the same time being distanced. The project started after moving away for studying, as an effort to understand my own romantic ideas of home. Over the years I built this personal archive that lead me to understand how this place I tried to grasp was not only consisting of the landscape and people I encountered, but also a liminal space that I created for myself. Through this the focus shifted and I started to realize that it
is as much about documenting as it is about constructing my own understanding of home through photography. Consequently “ROYGBIV” explores this ambiguous connection of construct and document that are a part of my experience.

Der Greif Studio X mirror.

Katya Ilina (@katya__ilina) and Vincent Forstlechner’s (@v_forsten) artworks are featured in our curation ‘through empathy, a story unfolds’ at mirror. (@mirror.onl)

Vincent’s work, from his series ‘ROYGBIV’ (2021), seeks to unravel what it means to feel connected whilst concurrently being detached from one’s childhood homeland. Even when a place stays the same, emotions and responses to it evolve. Likewise, Katya’s photograph from her series ‘Desperately Alive, Desperately Fragile’ (2023) documents physical responses to the natural environment and a deep connection to nature.

The vibrant compositions and pop hues create accents within mirror’s minimalistic office space, highlighting values of creativity and empathy that are key to the architectural firm.
