GEHOP

My diploma project, which tells the story of Georgian hip-hop through visuals and branding. It is a multimedia design project consisting of web and merch design, printable assets and distinct branding.

While hip-hop was undergoing it's most important years of development, Georgia was engulfed in war and chaos. The 1990's were a dark time for us, and that is exactly when hip-hop entered our country.

Since then, the genre has developed, with artists using the music to portray different narratives and frequently expressing their opinions on the country's political and social issues.

GEHOP is the first-ever platform where the story of Georgian hip-hop is pieced together and presented in a unified, playful yet informative, and interactive website.
