Darling Sally… You have been my biggest challenge and my deepest desire accomplished. You were a rollercoaster to say the least. I have never felt as prepared for something as I did with you. You lived in me, through me and took over at times. We laughed, danced and cried together. You helped me discover parts of myself I didn’t know existed. I have never enjoyed anything as much as us crossing paths. I know you’re the beginning of something great and we will find each other again. Sally reminds us that what happens around us (politics, environmental issues, etc) DOES have something to do with us. Empathy is important and silence as well as apathy are compliance. Living comfortably is a privilege; feeling like you are not directly affected by what is going on comes with responsibility. It was a privilege to be able to lead a show with a message that is now more important than ever. When life feels like a Cabaret it is our responsibility to snap out of it.
