When your childhood dream becomes a reality.

This absolutely stunning cathedral is 5 minutes from my house in a city I have spent my entire life in so far.

You know when your little and you imagine getting married one day and you plan it out in your head?

This was where I had always dreamt of getting married, so imagine how it felt to be able to create this.

When I bought my first camera in 2024, I didn’t expect to be photographing a styled shoot inside Peterborough Cathedral a couple of years later.

Still teaching during the week, still fitting photography around family life, and still figuring things out as I go.

But opportunities like this make me glad I started.

A few favourites from the shoot, and a big thank you to all the amazing suppliers involved. I’ve tagged them below.

Peterborough Cathedral was a pretty good place to spend an evening with a camera.

I recently had the chance to photograph a styled shoot here, and it was great to work somewhere with so much character.

The architecture, the light and all the little details gave us plenty to work with.

It was also great to work with so many amazing suppliers. I’ll tag them all below.

A few of my favourites from the day.

A few from Courtney and Craig’s wedding last month.

After photographing quite a few weddings this summer, one thing I’ve noticed is that couples often worry about the photos far more than they need to.

Everyone wants great photos.

That’s completely normal.

But the best photos usually aren’t the ones where you’re thinking about the camera.

They’re the ones where you’re focused on each other.

Having a laugh.

Enjoying the day.

Talking to your friends and family.

Actually being present.

Obviously it’s important to choose a photographer whose work you like.

But I think it’s just as important to choose someone who helps you feel comfortable enough to forget about the camera for most of the day.

That’s usually when the best moments happen.

If you’re getting married in 2027 or 2028 and you’re still looking for a photographer, the link in my bio has all the details.

A few previews from a styled shoot I took part in last week.

This opportunity only came about because a space opened up for an additional photographer.

I’m really glad it did.

And even more glad that I said yes.

One thing I’ve learnt over the last couple of years is that you can watch all the YouTube videos you want, read all the articles and spend hours trying to learn something.

But for me, the biggest improvements have always come from actually doing it.

Getting out of my comfort zone.

Meeting new people.

Trying things I haven’t done before.

And occasionally chucking myself in at the deep end.

I always seem to learn the most in those situations.

It was great to meet everyone involved and these are just a few previews while I work through a fairly long editing list.

I’ll tag all the suppliers below because everyone involved was brilliant.

i fear The Parent Trap shaped me from a very young age

I was obsessed with this scene (and film) as a child, and now it’s another day on the job 🤳

on set with Richard Designs, capturing their dresses and bridal accessories with a blend of iPhone and camcorder footage. Intentionally lo-fi, social-first and created to feel at home on the feed.

A little bit retro, a whole lot of fabulous. ✨ With a timeless 50s-inspired skirt and an off-the-shoulder neckline, this dress is made for twirling. 💃
