Please tell me I’m not the only one who suddenly forgets everything I know about wine the second a restaurant hands me the wine list. 😂🍷

So I tried something different the other night, I put the restaurant into @Valmont.app , told it what I usually enjoy and let it work through the wine list for me.

One recommendation. No pretending I understand every grape and region on the menu. And a bottle I probably wouldn’t have picked myself. 👀

Honestly, this is exactly the kind of decision I’m very happy to outsource. 😂🍷

Would you let an app choose your wine at a restaurant?

Good food, great company and a glass of something I can’t pronounce 😂🍷

Still figuring out this wine thing, but we’re getting somewhere.

Do you hate the pressure of choosing wine at a restaurant? We used @valmont.app to choose for us. Before going for dinner, tell it where you’re eating, and it will read the wine list and select one for you based on your likes. It also remembers your selections for future!

Ad | I know how to pick a restaurant, just not the wine. 🍷

So when we went for omakase at MOI, I let @valmont.app choose for us.

Its AI sommelier learns what I like, reads the restaurant’s wine list and recommends a bottle to pair with the meal — including the price and even how to pronounce the wine’s name.

It chose the 2023 Juan Bello for us, and we both really enjoyed it.

When you’re choosing wine for the table, having something that takes the guesswork out of the wine list is a game changer.

The chef chose the omakase.
@valmont.app chose the wine.
