Today marks the very first official Anne Rice Day! 🫀

Last Friday, October 2, the LA City Council passed a resolution declaring October 4 as the Anne Rice Day~ an annual celebration of her immortal legacy on her birthday.

The photo of the resolution was taken by my dear friend @mjrojas28 at @rarebooksla's Union Station event!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNE & LOUIS. 🫀

Today we celebrate the shared birthday of Louis de Pointe du Lac—THE vampire who started The Vampire Chronicles—and his maker, our beloved Anne Rice (@annericeauthor), who transformed the vampire genre and many of our lives.

Happy Bisexuality Day & Month!

I hope my best friend Lestat de Lioncourt is holding up alright. Just, in general. He is not dead. He literally cannot die.

Happy Bisexuality Day & Month! (I am personally always in observance, I would recommend)

« 'Let the spirits witness; for theirs is the knowledge of the future-both what it would be, and what I will! You are the Queen of the Damned, that's what you are! Your only destiny is evil, as well you know! But I shall stop you, if I must come back from the dead to do it. At the hour of your greatest menace it is I who will defeat you! It is I who will bring you down. Look well upon my face, for you will see me again!' »

— Mekare's prophecy to Akasha in The Queen of the Damned, which turns 38 years old today, having been published by our beloved and immortal Anne Rice on September 12, 1988.

Because they are my favorite set of our busts, I had my rad husband turn them into both ornaments AND magnets.

Every Vampire Chronicles fan needs a little Mardi Gras trio on their tree. Or fridge. Or altar.💜

$45 shipped(in the U.S.) for the set of either ornaments or magnets. DM me to order.

“[Lestat] is my devil, my dark lover, my alter ego. Sometimes I think he's my conscience.”

— Anne Rice, discussing Lestat and her latest book Memnoch the Devil in a promotional video for the film Interview with the Vampire.

I’m a little obsessed with how these turned out. 🖤

We made these Akasha and Enkil trinket boxes inspired by The Vampire Lestat, and the idea actually came from a conversation with @dominequebryant Since Akasha and Enkil are laying down in TVL, we didn’t want to make bookends of them, so I thought, why not a trinket box?!

I’ve always loved the whole story surrounding Akasha and Enkil, so getting to turn them into something cool, like a trinket box, was SO much fun. And I’m especially happy with all the little details on these!

I say “we”, but this is all the work of my rad husband, who 3D modeled and printed these, I just throw ideas at him. ❤️

Which do you like better, our Akasha and Enkil bookends, or these new trinket boxes?🩸

DM me if you want to purchase a set! The Akasha one comes with a little surprise. 😊

Happy International Dog Day! As a certified dog lover, I had to make a compilation of the absolute best Vampire Chronicles character: Mojo. 🐾

Louis hurting sweet baby Mojo is something neither I nor Lestat will ever forgive.
