That’s a wrap! DWA! Camping While Awesome might just be our best rally yet. Huge thanks to this incredible group of people, the Varian family for welcoming us with open arms and making Parkfield feel like home, and of course, the amazing driving roads.

Everything came together perfectly, and we’re beyond grateful to all of you. This community is something special, truly not a sour grape in the bunch. We can’t wait to do it again.

P.S. Rally withdrawals are going to hit hard this week.

2016 rewind ⏪

Two years into the DWA! Podcast(9 years into DWA!), and things were picking up. Our first DWA! Rally (about 35 cars!), Halfie Rallies, and Art swapped his 993 for an NSX like it was no big deal. We road-tripped to Luft 3, went Camping While Awesome at Laguna Seca, hit SEMA, and hosted DWA! Morning Motors at the Coffeeville lot on Ocean Street.

Lane hit a deer in his 944, RADwood was just starting to be a conversation, and the DWA! community was really taking shape.

Looking back 10 years later, it’s wild to see how much was already in motion. Let’s see what the next 10 years have in store.

The fifth iteration of our #DWASierraRally was a grand old time, despite some hiccups with my E30.

1. Epic landscapes en route to the start.

2. Debuted the fresh Mtechnic interior.

3. Immediately broke in said interior. Everyone pictured is over 6’.

4. Weather was varied which included, rain, sunshine, and even some snow.

5. @viewology Dakar Yellow steed looking lovely in the wet gloom.

6. My E30 developed a MAP sensor issue, so @rubelyfe tossed me the keys to his super dialed Evo IX MR on one of the best roads of the rally.

7. E30 was back in action with a fresh MAP sensor.

8. Scaring @laneskeltondesign with some VTEC yo!

9. Had an epically smokey failure due to an oil cooler line giving up the ghost.

10. The @beelinemotorclub boys, @tim_posts_cars, @laneskeltondesign, @jutzsc, @hazmatsurf, @badrabbithabit, and more all pitched in. This included refilling the engine with 4 different kinds of oil 😅.

12. At least I broke down in a beautiful spot, with plenty of good company.

13. On the road again.

14. The parking lot hangs after a long day on awesome roads are the cherry on top.

15. Back home and all dolled up.

Good hanging with all our peeps.

See you in May!

@drivingwhileawesome Rally withdrawals hit hard today, but going through photos taken on the rally and seeing everyone’s posts today helps.
Thanks to everyone who joined us at “Summer Camp”! 80+ cars, 100+ people, and not a bad apple in the bunch. The cars bring us together, but the people bring us back🤙
