I always want to leave you with something real.
Watching and hearing @vanessalarisc share her story… I kept thinking how many of us would benefit from hearing it too.
Not as advice but as a reminder that we all experience similar things.

We all move through seasons where we don’t know what’s next. We’re not sure where we’re going or what we’re doing. And that is the beauty of life, to explore, to adventure within yourselves.

That unspoken weight — I should have this sorted by now, I should know where I’m going, sits on so many of us.
That quiet pressure that we should already be somewhere else.
But what if we embraced where someone is, instead of judging it?
So often it’s in that messy, beautiful middle, when we take our foot off the throttle and just sit with not knowing — that the ideas come and life starts to flow easily.

A reminder you’re not behind and you’re not alone. And it’s okay at times to not feel okay.

Our circumstance, experiences and trauma has us piling on so much armor but can you give yourself the permission to take it off, even for an hour?

Regardless of your faith you’re not meant to walk alone, and if you can hand it off to a higher power, a creator, whatever you believe in, and allow yourself to fully be free, to have faith, you’ll notice how much weight you’ve been carrying.
No one told us we had to do this alone but as humans we tend to build all these walls which can feel so restrictive and heavy.

This was by far one of my favorite takeaways from interviewing @vanessalarisc

Do you let the outside opinions of others impact the way you see yourself?

This week I sit down with @vanessalarisc, and this conversation honestly, what we spoke about, I’m still catching myself thinking about daily.

For someone so young, she has already overcome so much adversity, and the way she speaks about growing up as a woman in today’s society is so honest, raw and incredibly self-aware it had me reflecting on moments recently where I was letting the noise of others impact me.

There was so much in this conversation that made me think, not only about what younger women are navigating today, but about the things so many of us have experienced at different stages of our lives and maybe never had the words for.

Regardless of your age, I think there is something in Vanessa’s story that will hit home. And for those of us who are a little older, I think there’s also a lot we can learn from listening to a younger generation tell us what it actually feels like to be them.

I’m really proud and excited about this one.

Yesterday, I closed on what my friends have lovingly named the Barbie Dream Home. 🩷🏡

And while buying my first personal home is something I’m incredibly proud of, I think what I’m feeling most is gratitude.

Three years ago, my life looked completely different. I was working a retail job, questioning where I fit professionally and honestly struggling financially. I was living in a beat-up rental off Enfield where we had cockroaches, fleas, and — I wish I were exaggerating — raccoons falling through the ceiling. 😂

I remember deciding during that season: **I am not going to live like this forever.**

I was going to work hard. Keep my word. Treat people well. Stay humble enough to learn. Bet on myself. And trust that if I kept showing up faithfully, God would take care of the rest.

And wow, has He.

I could never have written the last three years this well myself. God’s plans have been so much bigger and better than anything I could have imagined when I was just trying to figure out my next step.

This home represents so much more to me than a house. It represents peace. Security. Expansion. The ability to be generous. The ability to build a life where my future family doesn’t have to operate from fear or scarcity. And the reminder that your current circumstances do not have to be your permanent circumstances.

I’m so grateful I had the courage to change careers, start over, learn an entirely new industry, work harder than I knew I could, and surround myself with people who challenged me, believed in me, taught me, prayed for me, and cheered me on.

And getting to sign those papers surrounded by some of my very favorite people made it that much sweeter. 🥹

To everyone who has touched my life somewhere along the way — thank you. You have no idea how much of you is woven into this chapter.

God is good. His plans are good. And I have a feeling we’re just getting started. 🩷
