Bill Cooksey is a world championship duck caller and has been duck hunting for more than five decades. He is a devoted conservationist who is concerned about potential changes for wetlands conservation in the Prairie Pothole region. If anyone knows what waterfowl need, it’s Bill.

Let @usfws know that longstanding protections for these critical wetlands need to stay in place.

Today is Endangered Species Day, and the return of Kemp’s ridley sea turtles to Louisiana’s Chandeleur Islands is a powerful reminder that protecting wildlife starts with protecting habitat.

Kemp’s ridley sea turtles, considered the world’s most seriously endangered sea turtle species, have been documented nesting on Louisiana’s Chandeleur Islands after generations of absence.

Restoring these disappearing barrier islands is critical to protecting the habitat endangered species depend on and helping ensure Louisiana’s coast remains a place where wildlife can thrive.

River reconnection projects have long been a cornerstone of Louisiana’s Coastal Master Plan, and they should continue to be. Click the link in our bio to send a message to your legislator!
