Alexandros Vasmoulakis ~ Strongly influenced by the subcultural aesthetics of psychedelia and rave as well as the classical form of the mandala, Vasmoulakis sees these visual and cultural systems as ones cohering through an equivalent yearning to reach pure awareness, to achieve interconnectedness, and to attain a dissolution of the singular ego. ✌🏼

Our procurement team assembled this private collection, sourcing works from artists operating across more than twelve global cities.

Developed through an international art strategy, the collection brings together museum-exhibited artists, internationally recognised contemporary practitioners and emerging Australian artists exhibiting globally. Each acquisition was sourced through artist studios, galleries and international networks, creating a dialogue between the interior architecture, the collectors taste profiles and contemporary practices from around the world.

Learning Purposelessness by @vasmou

Alexandros Vasmoulakis explores transcendence through an intuitive process that merges creation and destruction. Influenced by psychedelia, rave culture, and mandalas, he paints without plans, then removes layers to reveal unexpected forms. Using handmade crayons made from beeswax candles collected in monasteries, he embeds a recycled spiritual history into his works. His canvases also interact with custom wallpapers, forming a unified environment. The result is a vibrant biomorphic world that invites a sensory, meditative encounter with the transcendental.
