Cookie 71/100 Millionaire Shortbread

These are a classic in black dog kitcnen and we make them every Christmas there are a few tricks to make them perfect evertime.

🧈 The Base: firmly press the shortbread dough in the pan, so they are the perfect amount of cumbly

🍯 The Caramel: Cook condensed milk and golden syrup on the stove to 245°F for the ultimate chewy texture, then pour over the base.

🍫 The Top: Melt smooth chocolate over the set caramel and finish with flaky sea salt.

Let all cool at room temperature before slicing for the perfect crisp slices

Pure magic in every single layer! ✨

Maple Cardamom Cinnamon Sticky Buns.

T was visiting us for a few days and for a special sweet treat for her, I took on @vaughn ‘s monthly bake challenge. Who doesn’t love a glazed bun?

Across the 5 hour project, the kitchen filled with scents of yeasted bread, spices, butter, and maple.

Not only does this recipe involve tangzhong, but it also involves pouring cream into the baking tray before baking. The result is soft, pillowy buns that you can’t wait to sink your teeth into ….

… filled with spicy blend of cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper and glazed with a maple vanilla glaze.

A very warm and spicy hug of a treat.
