Some summer.

I’m less preoccupied with suffering these days. Lotsa room for pleasant activities.

From Intermissions To Halftime; Six Months Into 2026

Every year I tell myself I’ll do one of those monthly recaps. So here’s 6 - the Halftime Report!

2026 started with me at @cbc, working at @cbc_music live, pitching artists Canadians love. One week I was producing music concerts..then I got a call.☎️

Well, it was an email. If you know me you know I don’t answer the phone!

Fun Fact - @kellyshouldice and I first met at CFNY. Years later, we worked together at The Comedy Network on popcultured with Elvira Kurt and then more recently, when I was at @cbcolympics @cbc.sports she was kicking off the @northernsuperleague .

So when she called, I picked up (RIP to this analogy) ☠️

NSL were looking to add someone to the starting lineup. I told them I’m not much of an attacker, I’ve always seen myself as a keeper. (See what I did there? 🧤) I’m the one watching the whole field, making sure nothing important slips through.
Protecting the net. 🥅 Always dressed in neon. 👩‍🎤

And with that pitch, I was invited to join the NSL team as their Director of Communications & Broadcast.

Just like bending a ball like Beckham - it’s been full of curveballs! ⚽️

Going from multicam, multisport Olympics to one sport. Easy yet hard.

Leaving the comfort of the office & people at CBC to work from home full-time. Plot twist: I don’t love WFH everyday.

Going from 300+ people touching a production to joining a team of just 20. Eye-opening.

It’s been the best kind of discomfort and disruption!
