आज नवरात्रि का पहला दिन है। आज हम माँ शैलपुत्री को प्रणाम करते हैं और उनसे तुम्हारे लिए आशीर्वाद माँगते हैं।

हे माँ शैलपुत्री, मेरी बच्ची को पर्वतों की तरह मजबूत बनाना, कमल की तरह निर्मल बनाना और अपने भीतर सच्चाई तथा करुणा का प्रकाश बनाए रखने की शक्ति देना।

उसे जीवन की हर कठिनाई का सामना साहस से करना सिखाना। उसे इतना आत्मविश्वासी बनाना कि वह अपने सही होने पर दृढ़ रह सके, और इतना दयालु बनाना कि दूसरों के दुःख को भी समझ सके।

उसके जीवन में ज्ञान, प्रेम, स्वास्थ्य, आनंद और सद्बुद्धि का वास हो।

One day, I won’t be able to hold you like this.
You’ll have your own wings, your own choices, and a world that won’t always be gentle with you.

par maa ko apne tareeke se jeene dena, apparently optional hai. 🙂

Jab tak nayi maa wahi kare jo “sabke hisaab se sahi” hai — she’s a good mother.
Jaise hi woh apne baby ke liye apni choice lene lage, suddenly everyone has an opinion.

A new mother doesn’t need more people telling her what to do.
She needs the freedom to figure out what works for her and her baby. ❤️

And honestly, every mother deserves to hear this:
“Tum apne baby ko apne tareeke se raise kar sakti ho.”

I thought becoming a mother would require me to be strong.

Turns out, becoming her mother is what made me strong. ❤️

I was scared. I had doubts. I had absolutely no idea how I was going to figure everything out.

But motherhood has a funny way of teaching you as you go.

You learn to understand the cries.
You learn to function on very little sleep.
You learn to put someone else's needs before your own.
And somehow, you discover a version of yourself you didn't know existed.

To my little girl —
thank you for not just making me a mom,
but for making me realise how much I am capable of. 🥹❤️

2 AM: Still awake.
3 AM: Still trying to sleep.
4 AM: Finally asleep. 😴
6 AM: “Good morning, Mumma!” 🥲

And that's how my baby gets her sleep… by borrowing mine. 😂

Somewhere between night feeds, cuddles, soothing and endless wake-ups, I forgot what a full night of sleep feels like. 🤍

Mom life = tired, sleepy, but still showing up. 🫶🏻

Some people think maternity leave means rest...

Meanwhile, my little bundle of joy wants to play, chat, cuddle, and have my full attention all day long. 🤍 And somewhere between her giggles and tiny demands, I'm also trying to finish a hundred other chores.

Every day is a beautiful mix of love, chaos, unfinished to-do lists, and endless cuddles.

Moral of the story:
Never assume a mom on maternity leave is "just resting." She's working the most beautiful full-time job—one that never comes with a clock-out time. 🥹💕
