Goddamn…May is already over just like that. It’s been a productive AAPI month for me with doing some AAPI related events, reconnecting with old friends, Mother’s Day, and self care time.
.
With Gemini season underway, my bday and Pride Month coming up, I’m ready for it all! 🔥

Happy lunar new year, wealth and prosperity for all. Big up to @hennessyus and @tcgcollective for getting all the Asian creators to help us explore connect and celebrate what Lunar New Year is all about.
Always been a Hennessy drinker and this just help put the cherry on top. #hennessey #goat #lny

What does it mean to carry legacy forward? 🧧✨

Honored to be invited to celebrate Lunar New Year with @hennessyus over an intimate dinner in Chicago, the city that raised me. Incredible food, deliciously layered cocktails, and conversations that stayed with me.

One message from the night stuck: legacy isn’t just inherited, it’s continued. Hearing about craftsmanship passed down through generations felt personal. I’m both Chinese and Filipino, and while I grew up identifying more closely with my Filipino heritage, I’ve been intentionally reconnecting more deeply with my Chinese traditions, to learn them, celebrate them, and carry them forward with understanding.

Writing intentions on the wishing tree, surrounded by red symbolizing protection and prosperity, felt like honoring where we come from while stepping into what’s next.

The Year of the Horse represents fire and forward momentum and the room reflected that energy. Grateful for the meaningful conversations, new connections, and the chance to learn from others building culture with intention.

When brands create space with care, community follows. Grateful 🫶🏽 Thank you @tcgcollective 🙏🏽❤️‍🔥🫡

In a city like Chicago, where cultures meet and stories intertwine, and this gathering felt very different.

At @taochicago we gathered — not just as creators, not just as influencers — but as a community.

Hosted by @hennessyus , this intimate Lunar New Year dinner was more than an event. It was a reminder.

A reminder of 团圆饭 — the reunion dinner.

Big thanks to Hennessy, because it really brought joy to the table. We toasted to heritage, and it’s so warmth, like the the spirit of the holiday, 有种年味儿。

Special thanks to @tcgcollective for making this dinner happen ❤️

So honored to celebrate the Year of the Horse with @hennessyus at an intimate Lunar New Year dinner at @taochicago 🧧🥂

A beautiful 4-course family-style meal paired with curated Hennessy cocktails, meaningful conversations, and a room full of inspiring Asian creators. Some familiar faces, many new ones — and every single connection felt special.

Asian creators can feel few and far between in Chicago, so being able to gather in one space to celebrate Chinese New Year together meant so much. Here’s to bold energy, new beginnings, and a prosperous year ahead. 🐎✨

Galentine’s at Felix 💖

Flowers were built. Letters were written. Glass skin was glowing.
Over sixty women showed up for themselves — and each other.

To everyone who sipped, reflected, laughed, supported our vendors, and filled the room with the best energy… thank you.

Felix is calling. And you answered.

Until the next one ✨
