We are creatures of contradiction. 🌒 Beautiful and grotesque. Tender and ferocious. Chaotic and contemplative. Capable of extraordinary darkness and unimaginable light. And perhaps nowhere is this more gloriously apparent than in the strange, sprawling, ever-evolving ecosystem of INFERNO. As the nights grow longer and the veil between seasons begins to thin, we’ve been thinking about all the different versions of ourselves that exist alongside one another. The creatures who dance until dawn, and those who find their magic in the quiet hours. The artists, the dreamers, the misfits, the beautifully ridiculous. Those who come to lose themselves, and those who come to find something they didn’t know was missing. Queer life has always taught us that identity is rarely something fixed or singular. We are constantly becoming, unravelling, rebuilding, discovering new possibilities within ourselves and one another. And there is such profound beauty in that. INFERNO has always been a celebration of everything we contain. The noise and the stillness. The spectacle and the intimacy. The darkness and the light. Because the connections we make beneath the strobes deserve somewhere to flourish beyond them, too. That’s why we created INFERNO Community. ❤️‍🔥 A softer way to gather, create, explore and get to know one another outside of nightlife. This month, we’re embracing the changing season with a Full Moon Social 🌕, and our beloved Grace is hosting the second instalment of her INFERNO Life Drawing classes. ✏️ Different rituals. Different rhythms. The same beautiful constellation of people. Because INFERNO doesn’t end when the lights come up. It simply takes another form. Their selections move through rhythm, pressure and atmosphere, pulling between darker club sounds, unexpected turns and tracks made to bring bodies together. Less about staying inside one genre, more about reading the room and knowing when to push it somewhere else. Here’s a few moments from @soft_domination’s FLINTA* Supremacy Celebration last week Wednesday @livingwomb.fka.alghasplantroom. We had solid sets from opening to close, with the decks being blessed by @veilification @lato.mp3 @jezebelle____ and @bloodofaza. And they showed once again why we’ve put London on the map. I’m so proud of the diversity and range of talent we’ve cultivated and have continued to do so. There’s such a level of respect for what we all bring together to the table as artists individually. But collectively it’s these powers which push us further. The skies the limit! Thank you to everyone that came through, even though a majority of us were still recovering from the bank holiday weekend. Next year we’ll return to organising more meet ups, as it’s vital to have more spaces outside the club where we can engage in conversation and connect more. Plus special thanks to @thea.13 for letting us use @livingwomb.fka.alghasplantroom, it’s one of the only independently owned FLINTA* venues in London so hit them up for bookings. @j.pasq for their management and help on the night, @xavierandrw and @lato.mp3 for help setting up plus @kiaraisnotsad for her security services.
