A year ago this month, I played my first live set as a solo artist. I didn’t know then if any of this was possible. I definitely didn’t know it would look like this.
None of it would have happened without @juhahansen . He’s the one who encouraged me to explore this path in the first place — before anyone else was in the picture, before there was anything to show for it.

From there: @nchristianson gave me the room to actually create and produce. @mariadieruhe helped me refine the steps. @vorspoulen believed in me before there was anything to believe in, and gave me my first booking at @suedpol_hamburg , alongside incredible female producers. @metatext_txetatem agreed to the technical side of it in three crazy weeks before that show. And @velix was there through all of it.

In the year since, I’ve played stages I couldn’t have named a year ago. Every single time, there was fear to move through, technical problems to solve, some kind of discomfort I had to sit in and keep going anyway.
None of it was easy. But I also grew and had more fun than I thought was possible a year ago.

If there’s a small voice in you right now telling you to do the crazy thing — this is me telling you it’s worth listening to. Do the work. And get yourself the support to actually do it.

chronicle of my cancer summer 🎀

i stopped counting the doctor appointments, the fatigue days and the hours spent in bed. also stopped counting the long walks through berlin trying to clear my head.

but there were good moments too. music, friends, food, strange little things, nights out and a summer that somehow still happened around all of it.

now i’m heading out of berlin for three weeks of oncological rehab to sort out my new life with meds, side effects, fatigue and all the other bs that comes with it 🦀

goodbye summer of 2k26

Yesterday, my dear friend @katjaruge had her exhibition opening at @obj.studio in Hamburg-Altona. Merging her all-female photo projects Ladyflash & @electriclightsproject this is a unique and funky collection — be sure to check it out 💜 Maybe on Sunday afternoon 4-6 during Katjas ambient DJ set - lets hang 🎧 I had the pleasure to work with many of these amazing artists at the time and be at the shoot - good memories come with these pictures 🔥😍🫶🏽

This August gave me more stages, more rooms, more chances to mess up in public than any month before it. And somewhere in the middle of it, something shifted.
I’ve felt like a guest at most of my own shows — like I’m borrowing the room, borrowing the moment, and any second someone’s going to notice I don’t quite belong on this side of the speakers.
Then, during one of my last gigs, mid-song, I looked out and realized: these people are dancing to my music. Not a song I love, not a set I curated well. Mine.
Afterward, when people came up to tell me what it did for them, I noticed the old reflex — the compliments landing like they were meant for someone else, some other version of me.
I’m learning the gap between the two doesn’t close from getting enough gigs or enough praise. It closes the way everything else has for me — by doing it again, scared, until “guest” stops being true.
I’m so grateful for a this many new rooms, new crowds, new versions of myself to meet.
Bringing this into our next gig with @baha.project , 12.9. live @fahrradkinokombinat in Kiel.

11.9. · Start 18:00 Uhr · Roundtable:
„Invisible Frequencies: Schwarze Wurzeln, weiße Bühnen – Wer erzählt Techno-Geschichte?“
(begrenzte Plätze, VVK unter suedpol.org)

12.9. · 13:00 – 17:00 Uhr
DJ-Workshop für BIPoC-Teilnehmer*innen
(Anmeldung unter suedpol.org)

12.9. · 18:00 Uhr – 13.9. · 22:00 Uhr · Rave (nur Abendkasse)

Das vollständige Interview findet ihr bei @szene_hamburg.

Bis gleich vorne links! 🖤

August Recap: August was full — three festival gigs, a full-time art direction job, two new coaching clients, family visit, and several side hustles.
I said yes to all of it, and I’m genuinely proud of how I held it together — and honestly, it was more fun than I expected.
Next up: A trip to London and a gig with @baha.project in two weeks.

Weekend recap.
First stop: @dockville . Real time to set up, an actual soundcheck, and for the first time — zero technical issues. just clean sound, a set that got to breathe, and a beautiful dancing crowd. Thank you for having me, I loved every minute.
Second stop: a different kind of room altogether. family, a milestone, the parts of a weekend that don’t make it into a caption but hold just as much weight.
Third stop: played a closing set for the first time, on a dock in a shipyard — the energy there was its own thing entirely, the kind of night that stays in the space it happened in.
Three very different rooms. One weekend. Grateful.

Dear friends, at FREQUENCIES, we don’t just want to talk about the history of electronic music — we also want to create spaces where new stories can emerge.
Together with ROOTS Berlin and SENU, we’re inviting DJs and anyone who wants to become one to a workshop exclusively for BIPoC participants (beginner & intermediate).
In a safe and supportive space, you’ll have the chance to get hands-on with DJ equipment on Saturday, September 12, from 1–5pm — no pressure, no “wrong” questions: learning your way around CDJs, building transitions and developing your first mixes.
But it’s not just about DJing itself. We’ll also talk about the reality behind the scenes: How do you get your first gigs? How does the club world work? And how do you find your own path?
To wrap things up, you’ll have the chance to put what you’ve learned into practice and experience your own moment in the DJ booth in front of an audience.
No previous experience needed!
Space is limited. Sign up at www.suedpol.org
