This weekend, I had the honor of riding in my very first Ride for Roswell—an unforgettable experience in so many ways. Not only did I complete my first century ride (plus five extra miles!), but I also rode alongside the incredible women of the @shicklunabikes Women’s Devo Project—a powerhouse team I’ve been training with since April. 🔥 🚴‍♀️

The tenacity, support, and camaraderie shared among our group of ten women has been nothing short of inspiring. From weekly Sunday rides to tackling a metric century and countless park laps in between, the journey leading up to this moment has been as rewarding as the ride itself.

Together, we raised over $8,000 for cancer research, rode strong at an average pace of 18 MPH, while combating 20 MPH headwinds. It was both profoundly moving and absolutely exhausting—in the best way.

We were lucky to have a few fearless leaders—who kept us together and pushed the pace like the pros they are. I’m grateful beyond words for your badass leadership and for giving us the strength to lift one another every mile of the way to the finish line. 💪

To my friends and family—thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donations, your kind words, and your unwavering encouragement throughout this journey. And to my team: you are some of the strongest, most determined women I know. It’s been an honor to ride with you.

This cause is truly changing the future of cancer research—and I’m so proud to have played a part in it.

I’ve always loved riding bikes. I literally used to sneak out of my house as a teenager to ride my bike. Not to drink wine coolers with my friends… to ride my bike. (Sorry mom…)

I just think bikes are fun and calming, good for the planet, good for my body…

It was mostly a solo venture for a long time. But in the last ten years or so it’s become so much more. It’s become community. From bikepacking trips, to Sunday Shickluna rides and everything in between, I’ve been to so many new places, and moreover, connected with so many great people because of bikes.

Today, 10 women from the @shicklunabikes Women’s Devo project rode 105 miles, together, at an overall average pace of 18.1. It’s hard to keep 10 different bodies moving together for 105 miles. But women feeling strong took extra time taking on the winds in the front. Women feeling weak pushed themselves to the max to stay in. And people feeling ok were the best cheerleaders and moral support, from opening gels for others to the occasional woop woop and everything in between. It was community and team at its best.

I do have a point here… Ride for Roswell… now THAT is a community effort. We collectively raised 6.1 million dollars. …I still think it’s insane that everyday folks need to ride their bikes super far and collect $50 from all their friends to try and cure cancer when billionaires exist, but here we are. Anyhoo, it’s about more than that - it’s about the realization that we can do hard things, like 105 mile bike rides and fighting cancer, so much better as a team. And I’m so stoked to be part of this one.

Thanks so much to everyone who donated to the ride. I rode with all your loved ones in mind, and it’s a privledge to be able to do a ride like this for them.

The big 2024 fitness recap 🫶🏻🤌🏻🤝🏻

A few cute moments from a year of lots of movement; high high highs and low low lows

Had a great time working and working out at @pacebuffalo and @stretchwny

Did some super cool shit with @shicklunabikes (s/o to @ginger_haired_buffalo @smbucalo @ammerner ) that made my heart so happy; many 30-60 mile pulls were had, made lots of cool pals, got so many new people out on bikes, ate many carbs, etc etc

Did @ironmantri 70.3 in Western Mass and 140.6 in Lake Placid; very grateful to be out there with buds @zs_1214 @jmil96 @svitello11 @rudypikuzinski

Lots of fitness with the bestie @k_lintt including crushing her first 70.3 and some sick backpacking in the white mountains

Lots of regrouping, resting, learning to have grace for myself through the process

@_runqueen_ by my side through it all as I exist as an active dumpster fire

Love yall 🤟🏻

✨ Season Finale: What a Ride! ✨

As the sun sets on our last group ride of the season, we can’t help but reflect on the amazing journey we’ve had together. Our first season as Shickluna Women’s Devo Project brought so many incredible moments—pushing new boundaries, climbing hills, learning to change flats, and celebrating each finished route with the best group around.

To everyone who joined, encouraged, laughed, and rode alongside us: thank you. This season wasn’t just about the miles—it was about community, growth, and, of course, a few coffee stops that kept us caffeinated. Every ride taught us something, and every pedal stroke brought us closer together.

Already counting down to next season’s adventures. Until then, we’ll see you on Zwift! And maybe a few pop up rides! 💪🌄 #ShicklunaWomensDevoProject #WomensCycling #SeasonOne #MoreWomenOnBikes

Temps are dropping, but this cold weather crew is tougher than the chill! There’s something about riding in the cold that brings out the hardcore in us, and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. 48° for our start this morning. 💪 🥶

Back in March at our kickoff meeting, we promised to build a group focused on developing bike skills, learning to ride in a group, and getting faster. When we talked about 16-20mph rides, we saw the fear in your eyes. But today... TODAY, you rode 64 miles at an 18.7mph pace! You did that! 💪

You’ve worked so hard all season, pushing your limits and growing stronger with every ride. We’re so proud of the strength you’ve shown and the laughter we’ve shared along the way.

Thank you for trusting us with your journey! We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. 🙌🚴‍♀️

Waters? ✅
Nutrition? ✅
Tire pressure? ✅
Helmets on right? ✅
Cleats tightened? ✅
If it didn’t happen before the ride, you can bet we’ll get it sorted during! Sundays with this crew are all about miles, smiles, and getting it done with the best women around. 💪
There’s nothing like hitting the road with a group that lifts each other up and makes the effort feel effortless. Here’s to another Sunday full of laughs, climbs, and all the good times we can pack into a ride. 🚴‍♀️✨
