That is a wrap on the 2026 Condor Women’s Track League.

From fast bunch races and team work in the pursuits to riders tackling their first ever track season, this year delivered brilliant racing across every single round. The encouragement and community in the track centre made the season what it was.

At our final round grand finale, we handed out prizes along with custom musettes and caps to our overall 2026 league winners:

🏆 A Group: Sophie Edwards
🏆 B Group: Ruth Beale
🏆 C Group: Milly Malthouse
⭐ Under 18: Emma Buffa
⭐ Masters: Mathilde Pauls

A special mention goes to Emily Stainer, who took home this year’s Super Debut prize. Having stepped up from weekly women’s track sessions into her first year of league racing, Emily showed exactly what this league is built for: giving riders a clear, supportive pathway to pin on a number and race.

Thank you to every rider who turned a pedal, the volunteers who kept the lap board in check, called out the numbers in the devil, and the coaches Thea & Meg who supported riders each week at the training sessions.

We will be back for 2027.

Thank you for another fabulous year of @condorcycles Women's League!

There is a lot of care, attention and love that goes into making this league possible and it wouldn't be so special without the people that bring their energy, many of them as volunteers 💙

Thank you to...

Our Commissaires who keep our racing fair, safe and enable it to be a stepping stone for women into other racing (by collecting precious British Cycling points). It was extra cool to have a women commissaire at every round (the brilliant Tianne) and even a full-female team for round 6.

@condorcycles for recognising how important this space is for Women's cycling and offering sponsorship that goes above and beyond – thoughtful prizes, bespoke leaders jerseys, and their own people's time

The volunteers that turn up and help everything run smoothly in the most welcoming way: signing riders on, judging racing, recording results and offering kind words when they're needed. Special mention to Charly, Jimmy, Katie, Lloyd, Luke, Sam and Feodora.

To our riders and clubs, for totally getting what Women's League is about. Showing up with positive attitudes, impeccable riding and the kind of support for one another that all racing should have – you set a beautiful example.

👋 That might be it for 2026 but you better believe we'll be back in 2027 and riding all through winter to get ready – join us at the Women's Session or a Women's Track Taster and you can join in next year!

The final round of @condorcycles Women’s League didn’t disappoint with racers in all categories commenting on the high pace and even higher spirits!

Our Warm Up Scratch's were true to their name with riders measuring each other up and surging to see who had their legs on. Category leaders Suzannah, Ruth and Sophie were under watchful eyes as other riders came with calculations on how they might take the coveted leaders jersey. Matilde showed she had sights (and legs) for the A podium launching a spectacular solo attack – that held – with 2 laps to go. Milly and Mila took their Scratch wins with lovely sprint finishes.

Team Pursuits were tactically constructed with a very strong A cat team leading by 10 seconds followed by two VCL teams, a decision that likely helped Milly secure the C category overall. Velociposse were the other team with matching kit, putting in a strong ride with a mix of categories.

The Devils were as thrilling as ever with experienced riders (like Thea and Esme) showing off smart use of the banking and many a back wheel being forgotten about before it was too late. The A category had the biggest endurance test and the leaders were keen to keep the pace high. Emma – National Derny Champ – demonstrated her champ status, sitting behind Mathilde in an attack but just missing out on the final sprint for the line. Smaller categories in the B and C’s meant faster pace and wins for Eva and Milly with very respectable sprints from Natalie, Mila, Myfanwy and Emma.

Points races saw exciting chaos ensue, with sprint laps splintering groups and seeing people dropped then back on, or not. Myfanway showed off strong endurance, grinning as she launched attacks alongside C cat leaders and taking the overall Points win. Mathilde, Emma, Sophie, Steffi and Jasmine dominated the A sprints with Mathilde and Emma doing a similar duo attack, helping towards spots on the overall league podium for them both. Eva and Mila (sisters) scooped up all the top points while demonstrating smart teamwork.

Thank you to all our riders, volunteers and spectators and to Condor for helping make it possible! More highlights coming soon…

An evening at Herne Hill Velodrome.

A first time watching track cycling for me and with the earlier sunsets beginning to kick in was also a nice opportunity to shoot with flash for the first time.

Yesterday’s @velociposse slow skills with @bike.dykes and @wccc_uk was ace! We started with a game of shrinking island, practised some cornering and did some look mum, no hands (massive well done to everyone who rode hands free for the first time 👏🏾 🥳) and thanks for everyone who came. The next Clapton session will be on August 10th with sign ups opening a week before, click the link in the @velociposse bio for more info
