Either you go after the life you want, or you settle for the life you have - harsh but true...

I have one pet peeve and that is people complaining about things they are not actively trying to change. I was stressing about not having savings and feeling all “woe is me” and then I had to smack myself in the face.

“YOU CAN change your situation!”

And so I did. No, it didn’t happen over night but...
→ I decided to make a change!

Then, I took a page out of my entrepreneur playbook...

→ I wrote down my goals and worked backwards.
Here comes the big one...

→ I took action! Change starts with taking that FIRST STEP (however small) towards WHATEVER you want your new reality to be!

Are you not happy with your weight?
What small step can you do today?
Put down the bag of potato chips or Walk 20 minutes after dinner!

Need to earn extra ?
Research online jobs or write a mission statement for your dream business!
→ Just take that step!!
And if you are also ready to get out of the financial stress loop and make a change, Comment “READY” and I am happy to send you some FREE INFO that will show you exactly how to take the first steps.

Memorial weekend recap.

Started a road trip to chicago before Indy 500.

Drove straight to it and got right in time for the great crew that was ready to show me the best event of the year! (Indy500 is a must! at least once in your lifetime)

Had the honor and privilege of meeting and being with a great family who had made me feel like home, and that is worth more than anything I can appreciate in life.
Beyond grateful for my time in Chicago with such a great family.

Got to ride on a beeeeatiful loop where I got the chance to know part of the city and the best bike atelier you could ever been! @velosmith

Had dinner at the best steakhouse you could ever imagine!!!!! EJ’s place!! Hands down 10/10 food, service, atmosphere and eeeverithing a person can ask for.

Long story short, Chicago has the best of everything I’m into in life and I can’t wait to be back!
My pictures will only show almost nothing of what I’ve been doing/ leaving.
But I wish I could share my feelings and all the pictures/moments that my eyes has saved into my heart.

Life is a moment…
And I wanna make a special thanks to every single one of you, who have been a wonderful moment of my life.

Love you all!

We spent the evening @velosmith and Tony made sure we were dialed in for the roads ahead. Getting the right tire setup for @sbtgrvl isn’t just talk. It’s how you make it to Steamboat and back. Big thanks to Tony for hosting and the expert breakdown. We are ON!#yeswecancycling #yesiridefor #epilepsygreaterchicago #eastersealsdfvr #cerebralpalsy

The @mosaiccycles RT-Zero is built. With @ceramicspeed bottom bracket and #ospw on @rideshimano Dura-Ace, this whip is both fast and smooth. The @cadexcycling Max40 wheels roll fast, and point true. On the road, this bike is deceptively smooth–chatter and buzz are minimized, yet the ride is lively and connected. The mixed material frame and the components make every movement and every maneuver feel direct and controlled. Massive thanks to @velosmith for the opportunity to work with them to realize this halo build, forever bike. The experience was elite. #titanium #bikelife #lifebehindbars

Did you know the Velosmith Bicycle Studio on Ridge Road was once a tavern and saloon? Over the years, this space has been home to many different businesses before becoming the Velosmith we know today. 🚲

Discover this story and more stories behind Ridge Road through our Adopt an Artifact: Gross Point Edition, a special look at the businesses that helped shape this historic corridor.

This month, our sponsor is Velosmith Bicycle Studio. Thank you to Velosmith for supporting this program and helping us share the history of Ridge Road. Stop by to learn more about their business and see the artifact they have adopted!

Discover the stories behind Ridge Road through our Adopt an Artifact: Gross Point Edition, a special look at the businesses that helped shape this historic corridor.

In Gross Point, Ridge Road was once the heart of commerce, lined with lively saloons, butchers, and general stores stretching from Lake to Wilmette. Today, that legacy lives on, as local businesses continue to serve and connect our community.

This month, our sponsor is @velosmith. Thank you to Velosmith for supporting this program and helping us share the history of Ridge Road. Stop by to learn more about their business and see the artifact they have adopted:

Velosmith
Bicycle Lamp, c. 1897
This carbide bicycle lamp was patented in 1899 and became a popular device for cyclists in the early 1900s. The small dark colored cylinder you see above is the fuel container, which is inserted into the bottom of the lamp. The reaction of calcium and water produces acetylene gas, which casts a white flame. Similar lamps were adapted for the mining industry until approximately 1918, when battery-powered lights made them obsolete for miners and bicyclists alike.

Visit the museum to explore the exhibit and see this and other artifacts up close, each paired with a modern-day business carrying the story forward.

Are you a local business interested in participating in a future Adopt an Artifact round? We would love to hear from you!

Three things I love about Tony at Velosmith:

1. He’s a great conversationalist. Our calls usually run long and deep. We get philosophical about the finer points of bicycle retail, craftsmanship, process, and design.

2. He’s not afraid of words. He’ll write full, grammatically correct sentences and stack many of them in a row; an uncommon trait on today’s social media. If he’s got something to say, he’ll say it in the exact amount of words he deems necessary, and trusts his readers will come along for the ride. And we do.

3. The man has taste. @velosmith is on another level. The word “curated” has been trammeled by overuse, but is truly appropriate for a shop like Tony’s. The selection at Velosmith exudes thoughtfulness and intention, somehow both timeless and progressive. Tony has been around bikes his entire life and it shows.

That is why this 15th anniversary stationary kit fits so perfectly at Velosmith. Implementing an updated version of their flawless tenth anniversary branding by the inimitable @studiolalonde, the kit includes notecards, bike cards, notebooks, matchboxes, bookmarks and matching envelopes.

Thank you, Tony, for trusting me with this collaboration. It was a joy to make and I hope others will follow your lead.
