POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As a full time professional, partner, mum and founder of @venusartbench ,the sheer breadth of work it takes to perform each role often sparks the question - “How do you manage it all?”
And you’ll be surprised to know that no one really is interested in actually listening to the real answer. It often leaves me thinking- what answer was expected out of me? A nagging response, a vent, a PowerPoint?

The reality is - I’m not a fan of this question for two very specific reasons-
✨1. The tone ✨
We “manage” things that we feel we’re not a pro at, like stress management, or something that feels like might go out of hand, like project or resource management. However, I’d like to believe that I’m a pro at my own life and in fact I’m building it with pure intention and curation. Hence, each aspect of this life, each role that I play, each task that I pick - is intentional, leading towards something that I intend to include as a part of my life. After all, our life is nothing but accumulation of our very own actions. So I’m not just managing the life that I’m building as if it’s at the verge of going out of control, but pouring vision, intention and action for building it.

✨2. The existence ✨
I often wonder when I get asked this question, why is it the first question that pops up in someone’s brain? One thing that’s common for all humans, including famous celebrities to a war victim, from a new born to an elderly, is that they all have the same number of hours in a day. I’m neither richer nor poorer than anyone else around me- in terms of time. And now, it’s all about slicing those time periods in doing the things that fill me with joy, or contentment.

🧱 Curating a life for oneself is a lifelong project, a lifestyle shift, a mindset shift- it’s not a quick hack, a crash course or a sprint. It’s the long game where intention, purity, commitment and discipline play valuable roles. Bringing action to see it turn to reality is always going to be a work in progress, as it should be.
🧱So, probably.. the question asked should be - “How are you building this?”

For life related banter, epiphanies during nature walks and art therapy tools, follow along ✨

RECLAIM YOUR ROOTS 🌿

Bringing this experience to life alongside @thevibetribeco_, @beausante and @spicebeatzdance was an absolutely privilege.

This was one of our most consciously curated events yet. A space where women were invited to reconnect with their heritage and reclaim the parts of themselves they were once told to hide.

This event could not have been possible with our wonderful sponsors and incredible caterer @veganyumm and the beautiful Her Space we hosted this event at @thecentreforwomen.co.

A HUUUGE thank you to @siddrishi for capturing the essence of this day. If you’re on the hunt for a wedding or events photographer, Sidd is your man.

We loved this event so much we’re already planning on doing it again…..Sydney girls 👀 keep your eyes peeled.
