Highly ineffective Jiu-jitsu doesn’t need to be boring….

The roll to black hole is super clunky, needs some work but maybe there’s something there. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Should probably now go and practice X-collar choke. 😆

Today is world suicide prevention day. The stats are all over social media and they are awful, for everyone, even worse for men.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to feel a part of something, to be around likeminded people who share a passion, who hold each other accountable, who worry if you don’t show, who care if you’re clearly not quite right.

My life is clean, easy and straightforward compared to others out there. But like anyone it’s not always an easy day. I appreciate those who look out for me when I need it, and thanks to them I know I’m always going to be ok. I am lucky enough to be a part of something bigger than me.

I’m so proud that we created a culture in my community where, ultimately, we care and constantly look out for others around us ❤️

Be a part of something. Combat sport brings people together in a way that I have not experienced in any other way of life, there is a bond between the guys that is almost impossible to replicate, however it can be anything from Hyrox to an Art class. Find your thing, find others to share it with, talk and share with those others.

Samaritans:
116 123 (freephone)
samaritans.org
For anyone who needs to talk. Open all the time, any time of day, 365 days a year.

National Suicide Prevention Helpline UK:
0800 587 0800
spuk.org.uk
For anyone struggling with suicidal feelings. Open 6pm to midnight every day.

We had 100 volunteers turn up today to help get the Academy ready for tomorrow’s opening. I’m utterly speechless at the amount of support, and grateful from the very bottom of my heart.

Thank you ❤️
