5 non-negotiable boundaries I hold in my work as a Birth + Postpartum Doula

Here are five boundaries that guide how I support families…

1. I only work with people who are open to embodied practices. The vessel through which we experience and give life is the body. I can’t support someone fully if they aren’t open to deepening their connection to - and trust in - their body. This doesn’t mean I only work with people who want natural/ physiological births, it means I believe that the body is the doorway to our deeper knowing. I won’t ever leave a session with you until I’ve offered at least one practice which tends to your body/ heart/ nervous system
2. Birth + Postpartum as a sacred rite of passage: The only beliefs I’ll encourage you to follow are your own. I won’t ever underestimate a Mother’s intuition, in fact most of my work is devoted to guiding people closer to their deepest knowing. When it comes to birthing babies, the Mother is the expert, and their inner wisdom is the compass I will be following in the highest regard
3. Environment REALLY matters (Pregnancy, Birth + Postpartum): And I’m not just talking about choosing between home birth vs the hospital. Details are important; from choosing your support team, to the lighting, smells, aesthetics and playlists. The snacks, drinks, room temperature, affirmations and sound healing instruments. Plus so many more. This is not a Pinterest board project, this stuff has a huge impact on your nervous system, hormones and physical process, during Pregnancy, Birth and Postpartum. So be prepared for me to nerd out on curating an ambience which makes you feel amazing
4. I am not a midwife replacement and I do not give medical advice. I fully support freebirth for those who choose it however I cannot offer medical expertise
5. Integrity: All of the practices that I offer come from a place of deep study or experience, and I have the relevant qualifications and certifications to safely offer these. As for the most tender of energies that I offer, such as devotion, compassion, and fearlessness - those which cannot be certified - you can read my testimonials or book a free discovery call with me to see for yourself

Ouroboros, the Secret Fire 🜍

Here are some photos from the lab lately, a field of attention, intention, creating a magical circle of prayer and purified desire. Subconscious will grow the seeds you plant, the question always remains the same. “What do you want to be and do?”
~
The last month became a bit of a plant portal. It wasn’t planned that way but we just went with it. I had the honour to meet ayahuasca for the first time (with acacia), which seemed to open a door of synchronicity + lead me to drinking again a couple weeks later with a maestro from the shipibo lineage, in more of a traditional setting. Grateful it did because i saw how important it is to work with these plants in their cultural lineage, with impeccable relationship and containment of the space. I fell in love with the icaros + the shipibo way. It was great to share that experience with two of my closest humans in my life aswell, beautiful medicine 🍃🐍
~
A week later we had another great honour to meet the blue deer in the tipi to celebrate the solstice. The incredible prayers shared and connections dreamed into being. It really is , the Beauty Way. The red road of Spirit. Full of love and good Will. Eyes open, looking straight to the light 🔥✨🦌
~
In the lab lately ive found some interesting things with my work with zinc. An ouroboros of sorts, zinc acetate leaves behind a body which can be reanimated and brought back to life, with fresh Spirit, perpetually. Philosophically speaking, when Spirit meets Body, the Soul is born. There is more to say, but this little caption has run out of space. Thanks for reading.

Elders 🌿

A scene from Lineage Ritual Dance Theatre by Shakti Temple.

Inspired by the muse artist herself — @verocoya and her song Elders, which evokes the wisdom of plant elders and kinship in times when we feel lost or unknown. It is a beautiful reminder of the animistic connection and symbiotic relationship humans have inherently always had with plants.

I hope this inspires you to take a walk outside, brew some lemon balm tea perhaps and sit with your breath and the gentle guidance of the plants when your heart needs it most.

Featuring our beautiful @laura.cargill — a matriarch in our community sharing wisdom, love and guidance to the sisters at Shakti Temple.

Thank you to @gypsygoddesscreations for this insanely beautiful headpiece, which so beautifully encapsulated my intentions for this performance.

Want to experience the feminine power of sacred dance?
Stay tuned for monthly temple dance offerings coming soon in the Peel region & Perth area 💕

Benalla Street Art Festival 🎨

Spent the day wandering through Benalla, watching walls come to life and capturing the incredible talent behind this year’s murals. There’s something special about seeing artists mid-process — ladders up, headphones on, turning blank bricks into stories.

From bold portraits to abstract colour across entire buildings, every corner feels like an open-air gallery. Even the quieter moments — a magpie perched nearby, light filtering through the trees — felt part of the experience.

If you’re into photography, art, or just a good weekend trip, Benalla is absolutely worth the visit right now.
