You guys wtf am I doing LOL. doing some weird content stuff to come and say that I’m moving and need to make space!!! I have too many paintings! Temperance is AVAILABLE for a home! She’s so cool and dope. She’s big, but I trust that there’s a home for her out there.

$1500 AUD, or best offer. The frame itself cost me a couple hundred dollars 😂🥲 if you feel connected, get in touch I’m open to being flexible for the right home.

Delivery can be arranged anywhere along the east coast of Australia as I’ll be heading up to Brisbane from Victoria in the next few weeks. Or delivery anywhere for an added cost which would be location dependant. Let’s find this magic lady a place to rest 👁️ by @verocoya

So happy to present the final completed mural, titled “L’Horizon Tranquille” (Quiet Horizon). Located on the west side of the iconic and historic Michaud & Lévèsque building on Main Street, this 8 x 52 ft wall is by far the largest scale I’ve ever worked on. Painted over 5.5 days, I was on a very tight timeline for this last minute project, and I absolutely could not have done it without the immense help of my family. Mom, Wade and Dodo all spent hours over multiple days painting the endless cracks and I am forever grateful! Sharing the memories of tackling this together now lives on in these bricks too, which is pretty special. What began as a crazy ambitious idea on a Saturday morning resulted in me starting on the Monday.

Having spent the last 8 years on and off traveling and living overseas (now being settled in Australia), I’ve come to deeply learn that there is absolutely, truly, no place like home. Being far away within very different climate and land, it has really allowed me to appreciate all that this region has to offer and how deeply embedded it is in my heart. I spend a lot of time missing home. Of course, my friends and family - but also, equally - this beautiful land that nurtures us all. The lakes, flora, fauna, forests and skies that we know so intrinsically are so special and (in the grand scheme of the whole earth) rare!

To be surrounded by an abundance of fresh water, evergreen trees, wild animals, bush medicines, snow that blankets everything and then melts again to make way for beautiful summers (albeit too many mosquitoes.. and way too short) is not something to be taken for granted. This piece was inspired by the feeling of being here, in a simple, happy way. Like a love letter to home.

I feel so grateful to have had a chance to leave a piece of me here, like this. Like a portal that I can feel when I’m away. Like an anchor, or a rope. Reminding me that home is always within reach. I hope that this artwork can make you smile when you drive by, or when you are waiting for your poutine at Riv’s. taken in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario by @verocoya

Ephemera 🦋 a quick little cutie oil painting on wood that came through for a local exhibition here in Bright. When thinking of the show’s theme (ephemera) I kept coming back to moth vibes. This is my conscious attempt at expressing the feeling of transient, in motion, not fixed.

This one was scooped up at the show, thank you so much Sara!! 🤍 + thank you Daniel for welcoming me into the show taken in Bright Art Gallery & Cultural Centre by @verocoya

This painting started as a collaborative sketch with @hazel_mandala during a creative workshop at Tanglewood. It was New Year’s Eve, and the prompt was to reflect and aim to translate what you were calling in for the new cycle. At the time, Haz and I were looking for a place to move. We felt unsure on where or how it would come together, but we let the painting guide what was important to us. The key being water. We’ve lived in a very dry and arid area for the last few years and as a Canadian girl who grew up on lakes, I felt like I was starving for clear, running water close by daily. To have dew, and shade and happy, thriving flowers. It took being deprived from bodies of water to recognize how incredibly important it is for my sanity, sense of self and overall wellbeing to be near them. It was a mess of scribbles and wiggles for a while, and about 3 weeks after creating the underpainting we found a house riddled with synchronicities in the watery mecca of alpine Victoria. We shuffled our life over and as I stared at the sketch in the new home studio space, I knew finishing it was important. So I followed the curves and rhythm but made it my own. Now it hangs above our bed, reminding us in the power of prayer and co-creation. taken in Wandiligong, Victoria, Australia by @verocoya

Last month I had the honor of being a part of @benallastreetartfestival. It was a joy and a bitch to tackle these deep bricks, on the biggest wall I’ve worked yet (though totally a tiny baby square footage in comparison to some of the more seasoned artists on the lineup - very impressive!). It well and truly was my first real professional mural gig (look at me mom!), and I could feel the imposter syndrome creeping in pretty hardcore before/during/after. To be surrounded by experienced and extremely talented muralists who do this often, and to be witnessed by hundreds of people while your painting goes from sketch to something tangible was such an edge. Though at the same time, it felt so natural to drop into the flow and do what I love to do. Paint.

Since moving to the area in 2022, Benalla has continued to surprise me with how cool and funky it, and it’s people are. The street art festival was just an added layer of dimension that made me proud to be a local. For the first 2 years, I admired from the sidelines and hoped “maybe next year”. I am very grateful that this time around, @simongrant accepted my application and (at least I feel like) took a chance on little old me. Idk why I’m writing like this its some sort of acceptance speech haha, but for real this was special and it felt like a pivotal moment in my art life. To be able to be a part of something so legit. I felt my younger self being proud, and that’s very cool.

When you continue to pursue something with your head down ~ like chopping wood and carrying water ~ eventually you look up and realize that you’re getting somewhere. What was once a far fetched dream becomes normal, everyday reality. I guess I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that. It can be so easy to just breeze past these things as the new normal, without taking a beat to recognize or celebrate the magnitude. I am very grateful for my friends stopping by to cheer me on, have a yarn, bring a chai, lend me the ladder and affirm that this was in fact, pretty fucking dope.

Thanks for having me @benallastreetartfestival & @simongrant948 🌀

Temperance, 2025. Oil, natural pigment, beeswax + sand on linen ✦ ✦ ✦

Completed last year in preparation for our @innativecollective group show. My whole body of work around this time was heavily tarot inspired, likely due to the fact that my husband @hazel_mandala had begun his BOTAR studies and I was by proxy learning so much. However, this painting in particular, I really set out to make a clear and succinct depiction of the temperance card, and more specifically - pay homage to the ART card in Crowley’s Thoth deck. I wanted to honor the symbolism and structure, but make it my own.

What emerged is a simplified, somewhat self portrait of my understanding of the archetype. Temperance is linked to sagittarius through the hebrew letter Samehk (which is my sun sign), and speaks to the middle point moment of bridging worlds. Of bringing spirit to matter. In Crowley’s deck, he specifically points to the active process of merging opposites to create something new. In his case, the alchemical arts.

I leaned more into the Venus elements here, nudging it more feminine than the traditional androgynous. Paying homage to breast milk and how it truly is the perfect example of an alchemical process. Inviting the viewer to reflect on the inwards process of distilling ideas, desires and visions into the tangible.

There’s so many layers of symbolism that I attempted to include here, but in the tarot in general. If you’re interested to learn more, I really enjoy learning from @symbolic.studies who has an incredible YouTube channel as well as patreon.

I do have a handful of prints left of this one on my website, if you love her and want her in your home. by @verocoya

Emergence 🦋 oil paint, methylene blue, beeswax, sand on wood panel
710mm x 710mm (framed)
Sold

Emerging from the chrysalis, a reminder of who you are. Down a boat, on a river of dreams, I find my feet. May the fire purify what used to be and the water usher in a new purity. Cellular regeneration, dawn pierces cleanly.

My piece from January for the Emergence exhibition held by @downto_earthcollective at Meat Market Melbourne. Inspired by the concept of emergence, when I started painting I couldn’t stop going for a butterfly shape so I just rolled with it. Marking a moment in time before many changes, art imitates life.

This one doesn’t have a permanent home yet! If you are feeling drawn to it, get in touch and we can discuss 🤎 by @verocoya

it’s been a while since I felt confident or comfortable to share some photos of myself here. idk you guys it’s been a hard few years and I guess it feels silly to be like hey here’s my face. but I’ve always see this platform as a diary, a documentation of moments in time. One I’ll be grateful to look back on in years to come when I’m feeling nostalgic. I feel a bit sad that I’ve stopped sharing so candidly, that it feels different now. I know it’s an internal choice to go on regardless, and to quiet those invisible perceived voices that the world is in chaos and nothing I say matters. Cause guess what the world is also beautiful, and sacred and profoundly joyful depending where you look. Like that meme of the guy on the bus.

anyway I’m not sure why I’m saying all of this, but I guess the fact that today I feel like sharing some portraits here feels like a shift somehow. After struggling with self image for a while and a general desire to hide away mostly, I am grateful for the wave of lightness. A collection of 2024-2025 veros from all over the place and time, mostly on film captured by Hazi bub. by @verocoya

my mural for Tanglewood + some film of the homies 🌀 such a joy and an honour to get to bring some art into these psychedelic carnival lands! I enjoyed keeping it simple with two colours and having it catch your eye from afar, or bring you up close where you can follow the lines and find more bits and bobs to see.

I am grateful to Australian doofs for being foundational in developing some of my most meaningful friendships with so many beautiful humans. Nothing like an over-stimulating, goofy, uncomfy, hilarious psychedelic infused time to bond you deeper than ever. taken in Tanglewood Festival by @verocoya

Little new one 🦋 My most recent painting, which ended up finding a home at the Tanglewood gallery 🤍 such a nice surprise to arrive for gallery pack down only to see one already off the wall. This was my first time in a doof gallery (well other than Strawberry Fields in November but I wasn’t there to see it so it doesn’t count) and it was so incredibly special to be involved. Getting to be alongside some absolute Aussie doof art legends and witness the stream of trippy punters rolling through for 3 days was so inspiring. I loved wandering around anonymously and observing people grabbing prints or saying nice things or saying bad things, to witness how my particular art held space amidst so much variance in style and skill and shapes and tones. It gave me a new sense of understanding of what it is I can offer, which is refreshing and encouraging. It’s been such a gift in the last year or so to switch over from focusing on what I can’t do, where my skill is lacking, and to instead to surrender into what feels natural and easeful to create. Which in turn, ripples out to the right people.

Fun fact, I named this “little new one” cause I was scrambling to figure out what to bring weeks before. I hadn’t finished this painting and wasn’t sure I would in time, it didn’t have a title so I named it that as a placeholder in the google sheet for submission, alongside “medium new one” lol. It never occurred to me that this is how it would be displayed at the gallery and inputted into the system until the day before when I had to make didactics 😂

Big thank you to Nathan for taking this piece home 🤍 I’m truly so honoured to have had you connect with this one in the way that you did. taken in Tanglewood Festival by @verocoya
