💗✨ 5 MONTHS SOBER TODAY! ✨💗

9th October 2026 — a milestone I’m incredibly proud of! 🥹❤️

Five months of choosing myself, rebuilding my life and learning to find happiness again. It’s not always been easy, especially after losing my wonderful Dad and Nan, but I’m stronger than I ever thought possible. 💪🕊️

A massive thank you to my amazing mum, big brother, sister in New Zealand, my younger sisters, adoptive family members and all my wonderful friends. Your love and support mean everything to me! ❤️

I’m also incredibly grateful for my AA sponsor, AA fellowship, GP, bereavement counselling, CBT, acupuncture and boxing 🥊 — all helping me physically and mentally throughout my recovery.

Volunteering has also been such an important part of my journey. Giving back, helping others and meeting some truly inspirational people has given me a renewed sense of purpose. 💙

And of course, my little Teddy Bum, who’s been my loyal companion through it all! 🐩🐾

I know Dad and Nan would be so proud of me, especially as I’m hoping to return to university to study for a Master’s in Occupational Health! 🎓🩺

After seven years working at the Royal Society of Medicine, combined with my own life experiences, I’m determined to turn difficult times into something positive and help others.

Stronger. Happier. Healthier. Prouder. Brighter days ahead. 🌸✨

Recovery isn’t always a straight road, but every single day is worth it.

Here’s to new beginnings, making my family proud and, most importantly, making myself proud! ❤️

So good to see my beautiful @chantelle_elles for a cuppa yesterday! ☕️💕

I’ve known this girl since I was 14 — from N-Dubz, Jay-Z and Wireless Festival (clearly we’ve always had great taste in music 😂🎶), to celebrating her 21st at the University of Suffolk, and now sitting together laughing about our teenage years, questionable choices in men and even more questionable drinking habits. 😂🙈

Chantelle also looked after my dad when he was poorly in hospital, something I’ll never forget. She’s genuinely one of the sweetest, smartest and most caring girls I know. 🥹🤍

I believe in you so much and your plans to get your nursing degree — you’re made for it. 👩‍⚕️🎓

Oh, how I’ve missed you, girl. We laughed SO much yesterday! Sorry we lost contact along the way, but you’ve got me back in your life now — and you’re definitely not going to lose me again… mwahaha! 😂😈💕

How are you actually 21?! 😭😂

So grateful for our friendship — from the Bay Horse days to festivals, absolute chaos and some VERY questionable decisions 😂💖

We R FSTVL 2022 will forever be iconic. Dad had passed, I’d had about a million catheters 😂 and for some reason I thought making you drink NEAT GIN at McDonald’s before we partied was a good idea 😭🍸🤦‍♀️ Naughty Verity!!

Fast-forward to now and this weekend I’m celebrating 4 MONTHS SOBER BABY!!! 🥹🙌🌈💃

Life might look a little different, but I’m still me — just swapping the neat gin for games nights 😂🎲✨

Me & Teddy Bums 🐶 have missed you LOADS and cannot wait to see you! 💕

Plot twist… change of plan 👀😂✨

In my 30s and apparently I’ve decided it’s the perfect time to head back to uni 💅📚

Next stop: Master’s in Occupational Therapy at ARU 🧠🩺🎓

Hoping for a January start 🤞✨

Not quite the route I originally planned, but still healthcare, still helping people, and a new challenge that I’m actually really excited about 🫶

Because who says you need to have everything figured out by your 30s? 😂

New chapter pending… January, I’m coming for you 😏📚✨ In my 30s and just casually deciding to go back to med school to become a urology surgeon 🩺😌✨

No big deal… just a full life plot twist 💅📚

Shoutout to Roger Kirby, Francis Cotton, Roland Morley & Mr Abel (my science teacher 👀🧪) — and my bestie Rebecca in the USA 🇺🇸🤍 always backing me 😉✨

Urology for dad 🫶 and I even had the honour of celebrating and organising 100 years of urology (casual 😭👏). And the FIRST female president Nadine?? Icon behaviour only 👑✨

They work hard, save lives… and yes, enjoy a little tipple or away day 🍷😂 balance x

If I’m allowed 👀 I’ll be booking May — President’s Day with Matthew 🎟️✨

Happy 32nd Birthday Bryony, my honey bun 🎂💛

It may be Friday the 13th 😱🍀 (unlucky for some!) but your big sissy was born on the 13th too 😉✨ So clearly it’s iconic, not unlucky!

Still not over crying when Buddy died on my birthday 😭🐶 but at least I got a laptop 💻 and was allowed to name the next dog Rupert the Bear 🧸🐾 — priorities!

Here’s to 32 years of putting up with ME 🤪🙌 Mwhaha! You’re the sister closest to me in age — double trouble from the start 👯‍♀️ We were both blonde 👱🏼‍♀️👱🏼‍♀️ but you kept your colour and those baby blue eyes 🩵✨

From making crocodile cucumbers 🥒🐊 just to make you laugh when I came back from uni 🎓, to hiding Bunn 🐰 (never hurting him, obviously!! 😇), to our owling trend adaptation from planking 🦉😂 — we were influencers before influencers were even a thing!

I was so sad when you hurt your leg 😢🦵 and couldn’t rollerblade 🛼 or skateboard 🛹 for a while — you were always the cool, fearless one!

Finding out you went into my room and used my Bite Care 😤💄 so I wrote that dramatic letter from “Missoula” to scare you 📬🤣 but being a dumb arse I had to write the address on it 🤦🏼‍♀️✍🏼 Thanks for returning my ID… which I gave to @abbyburns1992 anyway 🙈😂

The mad guinea pig stories 🐹, caravan holidays 🚐, Italy adventures 🇮🇹 — memories for life 💕
