💗✨ 5 MONTHS SOBER TODAY! ✨💗

9th October 2026 — a milestone I’m incredibly proud of! 🥹❤️

Five months of choosing myself, rebuilding my life and learning to find happiness again. It’s not always been easy, especially after losing my wonderful Dad and Nan, but I’m stronger than I ever thought possible. 💪🕊️

A massive thank you to my amazing mum, big brother, sister in New Zealand, my younger sisters, adoptive family members and all my wonderful friends. Your love and support mean everything to me! ❤️

I’m also incredibly grateful for my AA sponsor, AA fellowship, GP, bereavement counselling, CBT, acupuncture and boxing 🥊 — all helping me physically and mentally throughout my recovery.

Volunteering has also been such an important part of my journey. Giving back, helping others and meeting some truly inspirational people has given me a renewed sense of purpose. 💙

And of course, my little Teddy Bum, who’s been my loyal companion through it all! 🐩🐾

I know Dad and Nan would be so proud of me, especially as I’m hoping to return to university to study for a Master’s in Occupational Health! 🎓🩺

After seven years working at the Royal Society of Medicine, combined with my own life experiences, I’m determined to turn difficult times into something positive and help others.

Stronger. Happier. Healthier. Prouder. Brighter days ahead. 🌸✨

Recovery isn’t always a straight road, but every single day is worth it.

Here’s to new beginnings, making my family proud and, most importantly, making myself proud! ❤️

💙 Francis’ Full 90: Giving Prostate Cancer the Boot ⚽️

This October, I’m walking 5K every day with Teddy 🐾 in memory of my dad, Francis, who sadly died from prostate cancer.

Football was always a huge part of Dad’s life. By day he was an insurance broker, but at weekends you’d find him on football pitches across Essex as a referee and linesman. When I was selected for the girls’ football team, he was so proud — and, of course, made sure I had my Nike Total 90s! ⚽

I was an Arsenal supporter from 1991 until Dad passed away in 2021. Afterwards, I changed teams, and our family wore blue in his memory. 💙

Dad also developed early-onset Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia in his 50s, but he never lost his love of walking our Shelties and poodles. So Teddy and I will carry that tradition on — wind, rain, snow or sunshine, we’ll walk for him.

This challenge has another special connection for me after my years working with RSM Urology and the incredible people I met there.

🤍 Me hugging my younger self. If only she knew how far she’d come.

Now, in my 30s, I’m hoping to take the next big step — a Master’s in Occupational Health at ARU, if I’m accepted. 🎓🤞

After helping with my Dad and Nan’s palliative care, I know just how proud they would be of me. 🕊️🤍

For them, for me, and for the little girl who kept going.

Plot twist… change of plan 👀😂✨

In my 30s and apparently I’ve decided it’s the perfect time to head back to uni 💅📚

Next stop: Master’s in Occupational Therapy at ARU 🧠🩺🎓

Hoping for a January start 🤞✨

Not quite the route I originally planned, but still healthcare, still helping people, and a new challenge that I’m actually really excited about 🫶

Because who says you need to have everything figured out by your 30s? 😂

So good to see my beautiful @chantelle_elles for a cuppa yesterday! ☕️💕

I’ve known this girl since I was 14 — from N-Dubz, Jay-Z and Wireless Festival (clearly we’ve always had great taste in music 😂🎶), to celebrating her 21st at the University of Suffolk, and now sitting together laughing about our teenage years, questionable choices in men and even more questionable drinking habits. 😂🙈

Chantelle also looked after my dad when he was poorly in hospital, something I’ll never forget. She’s genuinely one of the sweetest, smartest and most caring girls I know. 🥹🤍

I believe in you so much and your plans to get your nursing degree — you’re made for it. 👩‍⚕️🎓
