Don't give up, don't ever give up, you are worthy and enough for every opportunity in this life. I have been knocked down so many times and all those times I have gotten up the lesson from getting knocked down became my strength. There are answers and so many paths to changing your life and getting a life in recovery. Your darkness will become your brightest light, you will not only change your life but so many others if you keep asking for help and you keep getting up.

What is your excuse? The hardest part of recovery is having the courage to make the choice to change. After that, do you have the discipline, practice, and consistency to show up daily for the change. What new habits will you build and do to be reborn? God was a huge part of me finding a new life, but that doesn't mean I don't have to do any work. Faith without work is dead!! The decision to change my life, get sober, get in shape, and grow in recovery has changed my life, I am a new man and an authentic man. Showing up every day for your own life and getting the work in will change your life. You don't always have to have a 100% , you just have to show up with what you have and keep practicing. Consistency, discipline, and practice will change your life. it just depends on what you choose to practice. I have come from homelessness, prison, addiction, trauma, shame , mental health, attempted suicide, overweight, and just broken. But I showed up for the change, and I chose to put in the work. Change is so uncomfortable, but that is how you know it will be damn good. If I can change my life, then I know you can too, let's walk together, ask me how.

3 and half years sober and my life has never been better, I am so grateful for it all. But my fitness journey started the same time, I use to hate my self, the shame of having to be me everyday was why I used and drank so much. So I made a choice to change how I saw myself, I put in the work, discipline and practice to mold myself into the version of myself I could love and get behind. I was almost 300 pounds when I started , wanting to die, wanting to give up but I got up and showed up for my change, which change is so uncomfortable but that is how you know it is going to be good, so get uncomfortable and watch the miracle happen. Fitness is a huge part of my recovery today, I wouldn't be sober without the gym and fitness in my life. If I can can do this I have to believe you can too and I will help you and walk with you anyway I can.....

I will do whatever it takes to keep my life in recovery and stay sober. The last 3 and half years have been a lot of practice and discipline, but life has never been better. Are you willing to let go of the old and do what it takes to bring in the new, to be who you truly are. At 39 years old, I am the best shape of my life, centered emotionally, strong mentally, and powerful in my spiritually. Keep going, even on the days when it is hardest. That is the day you show up most for your life with discipline and resiliency. I started showing up for my life, and no one was going to tell me to quit, from self care, self-love, recovery, and so on. Even on the days I would stumble and fall , I knew if I laid there, nothing would change, and I would be stuck. So I got up with the help and love of others and God and had the courage to keep taking steps through the fire. That is when my failures became my greatest tools in my success. In recovery they talk about spiritual progress not perfection, they say this becuase we are imperfect and perfection is impossible but we can take steps and practice to get the progress we need to get better versions of our self. The same goes for the gym and fitness, there is no perfection there is only you and what you want to become in the process. Stop window shopping for that guy's muscles, girlfriend, job and look in the reflection to she you and know your enough, now let's go to work on what you want for yourself, that better version of you.
