Another incredible event is here. Join us Saturday morning (9am) at Kenneth Hahn park for a beautiful hike up to the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial. The view up there is amazing and we will have a 30 minute guided meditation/yoga session.

We always end with a AA meeting with a guest speaker or group participation.
Join us for part of this or all of it.

We meet at the entrance on La Brea & Don Lorenzo. Literally where Don Lorenzo dead ends into La Brea. Plenty of free street parking at that intersection and there is a small parking lot about 200 yards from that entrance. Please do not use the La Cienega entrance. Hope you can join us tomorrow for what is sure to be an incredible experience.

Trek up the famous Culver stairs or walk around the hill to the top, where we will have a guided meditation led by @healthbydestiny.

After that, if you would like to stick around, we are having a AA meeting with 2 guest speakers that each just hit 1 year of sobriety. We would love for you to show up and listen to their experience, strength and hope.

Saturday June 24th. Meeting at 9am at the Jefferson Blvd starting point by all the food trucks.

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there. Hope you all have a incredible day, you deserve it!

Here's a quick video from our event at Kenneth Hahn park in Los Angeles. Our 3rd time having a event there and it definitely did not disappoint. Being one with nature, friends and a little exercise. Just what the doctor ordered.

Please join us next Saturday (June 24th) at the Culver City Stairs. We will be meeting at 9am at the bottom entrance. You can take the stairs to the top or the easier route on the road around the mountain.

Once we all get up top, we will be doing some guided meditation lead by @healthbydestiny and maybe even a quick yoga session. After that, we will have a recovery meeting with 2 guest speakers. You can just show up or RSVP on our website. Be sure to bring some water and a towel.

Let's Go 💥💪🏽👊🏽 Are you into fitness, nature and addiction recovery? How about any of the above? Valor Rising's (@vfcrising) 67th and 68th events are sure to deliver a good workout, get you outdoors and connected within a sober/clean community.

Our events are always free to attend and intended to use physical fitness as a powerful tool in addiction recovery. Please bring yourself, your friends, your treatment center, your sober living or whomever might enjoy some time outdoors with other individuals striving in addiction recovery.

This Saturday we will be at one of hidden gems in LA. Kenneth Hahn park. A massive park that has a BBQ area, disc golf course, man made river and lake, Japanese Garden with a Koi pond and a Martin Luther King Jr exhibit to name just a couple of the features of this park.

Meet us at 9am at the entrance on La Brea & Don Lorenzo. We will take a easy trail up to the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial area where you can then enjoy a light yoga session with us or just embrace the beauty of nature. We will end with a recovery meeting for those that would like to participate.

On Saturday June 24th, we will be meeting at the Culver City Stairs at 9am. A great workout getting up those stairs or a much easier alternative of walking along the hill to the top. Once up there, you can join us for a easy workout, enjoy the view or walk the stairs again. Your choice. We will end with a recovery meeting for those that would like to participate.

Our events are intended to bring together individuals flourishing in, or, new to addiction recovery. All while experiencing nature and some form of fitness. Unity, connection and recovery.

Things work out best for those that workout.... Not sure if I just made that up or if it's a real saying..🤣🤷🏽 but I love it.

Had a awesome weekend. These @vfcrising events have been incredible. On Saturday we attacked the Culver City Stairs. If you have never been, they are no joke but a great experience. The view up top is amazing and a true feeling of accomplishment just getting up there. Grateful for those that have been attending. The unity and connection created are what addiction recovery is all about.

Saturday night I was blessed to go back to the facility that saved my life. Phoenix House Venice Beach. Got to share with the gentleman currently calling that facility home. And you know I showed up with hands full of "SoberAF" & "One Day At A Time" shirts! I always get way more from these experiences than I could ever give.

Unity - Recovery - Service.
Incredible day up a Kenneth Hahn Park followed by some volunteer work at The Refresh Spot in Skid Row.
If you haven't joined us for one of our Saturday morning activities, we hope you do very soon.
Last Saturday we took a easy hike up thru Kenneth Hahn Park, ending up at the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial where we just took a moment to be present and check in.
Along the hike we enjoyed all the beauty of nature: the Hummingbird Garden and all the Incredible smells of sage, hunneysuckle etc.
Right after, a few of us headed to Skid Row in Los Angeles to be of service. Volunteering our time at The Refresh Spot. A facility right in the heart of Skid Row that provides showers, restrooms and laundry service for the homeless.
What a powerful day.
Our next event will be Saturday May 27th. We will meet at the bottom of the Culver City stairs off Jefferson at 9am. You can walk the stairs or take the easier route around the hill. Once we get up top we will have a light workout followed by a "check-in" for those that want to participate. Chat about your week, life, recovery etc. A great way to become part of something and connect with other like minded individuals.

Join us for a Fit-N2-Recovery Hike this Saturday. What a powerful feeling when individuals in addiction recovery come together, unite, and grow together.

We will be meeting at Kenneth Hahn park at 9am. Entrance on La Brea and Don Lorenzo.

All are welcome to join. We will have a easy hike up to the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial and then a recovery meeting up there. Overlooking all of LA. A few of us will then go into Skid Row for a Outreach.

Let's get Weird... Sober Cummunity Weird Together.
If you are in the Los Angeles area, I really hope you make it to this incredible event that my Non-profit, Valor Rising (@vfcrising ), is putting on. If you are not in the LA are, don't worry, it's going to be on Zoom as well 💥💥🤷🏽.
Let's come together and show the newcomers that we have a blast sober, in addiction recovery. This event is absolutely Free to attend, but please RSVP. As of last night, we had about 30 spots left out of 200.
We are going to have awesome prizes to raffle off. Los Angeles Dodgers tickets, painting from local artist @joannejcartist, Starbucks gift basket & Lazer skin treatment from @skinremediesmedical in Santa Monica. There will also be a Red Carpet and a projector shooting out awesome backdrop scenes so you can take great pics to blast all over your social media.
