IDentity. WHAT SHAPES WHO WE ARE? 🌍✨

Between cultures, languages, places, and generations, identity is never fixed.

IDentity, presented by Munich Wallflowers, brings together international artists exploring belonging, memory, movement, and the experiences that shape who we are and who we become.

Different perspectives. Different stories. One shared question: What does “identity” really mean?

Vernissage: 24.09. | 18:00 ✨

Join us for the opening of IDentity with a special performance by @adelitas.folklore, followed by a party with @sueperfly_blash. 🎶🔥

🎟️ Tickets via Rausgegangen — link in bio.

After the opening night, the exhibition is free to visit until 10.10. Come celebrate, explore, and question what identity means to us. ✨

We are very excited to announce our IDentity festival, which we have been preparing over the past few months.

We, the Munich Wallflowers, wanted to explore the theme of identity and all the symbols, rituals, scents, and colors that make up who we are.

From September 24 to October 10, we’ll have a wonderful program filled with workshops, music, literature, panel discussions, and performances, accompanied by a permanent exhibition that’s free to the public.

Check out our program here ⬇️

I love art that draws me in & gives me a good feeling. And above all, I love working with artists with good positive energy... and that's exactly what I got from Vanessa Hoffmann of @vh.illustration !❤️ The best part is... she'll be at Storya & you'll be able to meet her!😍

Her works invite you to play! So we conceptualized & curated an interactive art exhibit for you to enjoy!🥳 Curious? Well, come to Storya Festival on May 9!🤗

🫶🏻 More about Vanessa:
"Vanessa Hoffmann is an artist from Florida, America. She focuses on people, the many forms of them and the stories they come with. What it is to be human, studies of society, and the ups and downs of what we call life. Her many years of working with children has influenced her art in a playful childlike way. Bold colors, many details, and losing yourself in the images, discovering something new each time. Becoming a game, an interaction with the art, playing."

Catch @vh.illustration at Storya Festival on May 9!🥰

"For this project, our theme was: OUR ROOTS.
At Munich Wallflowers (MWF), we’re women from many different cultures. Roots don’t always come from a country or a culture.
They can be feelings, memories, connections, and the ways we define ourselves.
So here we are, women from different backgrounds, looking inward, collecting from our memories, and coming together to create our own roots."
