Another great day in the sunshine with our beloved bocce community. Log Cabin - American Bocce Club tournament is by far one of my favorites of the year because it has the best ambience. Visual eye candy for days, this girl always brings her camera!

Maestros played well, and Bocco Man came in character to represent that @maestrosbocce pagentry. A quality we hold dearly. 🤣

I didn't make it to the end but I do wanna shout out the boys that won: Hippie, Sean, Mickey and Billy! Nice job fellas!

More photos and bts coming soon!

Loved seeing everyone yesterday!

And that’s a wrap on the Log Cabin Invitational!

It was a heater of a final as #1 seed Little Buff Boys (Billy, Stripeik, Sean Krone, Mickey Niewierowski, Sean Krone, Hippy O’Neal) battled it out with #2 seed ABC 1 (Andy Zimmerman, Alex Gara, Frank Pulice, Robert Bertoncini), with one team destined to take their first loss of the day. Both teams delivered. While ABC 1 were still finding their footing on a new court, the Buff Boys took advantage, jumping out to a 7-0 lead. But ABC 1 rallied, swinging momentum and closing the gap to 11-10 late in the game. Then came the dagger, ABC 1’s final shot caught a bad ricochet, and Hippy buried 2 more to seal the win for Little Buff Boys!

POTY frontrunner Billy Stripeik captained his ship of Buff Boys and looked every bit the part, adding yet another highlight to his monster 2025 season.

And last but not least, Last Pallino on the Left took home the Silver Bracket title with a clutch win over Team KRS-Uno to close out their day!

It’s hard to believe that the same idiots who brought you portable courts, hot shots, and the drink-in-hand rule are now responsible for importing the best bocce courts on the planet. @chicagobocceclub is the next chapter of our incredible journey, and whether you’ve figured it out yet or not, trust us when we say, it’s all for you 🫵 #bocce #bocceball #chicagogram @colleoni_bocce

In order to not lie to the man, I spent the week avoiding any conversation about his bday. I hardly even said happy birthday yesterday.

Well happy 40th to the greatest friend and partner @alexpbocce ! We’re lucky to know him. I can’t wait to see what the next 40 years bring.

Excellent job by @lydiawillisgara for pulling off such a fun party! I maxed out on tags - love you allllllll!!

As Peyton wraps up her last week as American Bocce’s Territory Manager, we just want to take a moment to show her some serious love and appreciation.

Over the past few years, she’s brought so much to our community. With a background in athletics and physical therapy, Peyton brought a fresh perspective and elevated the player experience both on and off the courts. She’s one of the best League Managers to ever do it, and she holds the title of 2024 Bocce Official of the Year (#BOOTY🍑) to prove it.

While we’re sad to see her go, we’re also so excited and fully endorsing her new career move. From enthusiast to organizer to athlete, she’s done her damn thing, and we’re forever grateful.

Please help us send her off with all the love, support, and positive energy she deserves. ✨

Last night @chicago_reader hosted all the first place winners of their “Best of Chicago 2024.” It was an absolute honor to win Best Writer and to be a finalist and the first runner up for best new nonfiction book by a Chicagoan. I put everything I had into Sexism & Sensibility so to have it recognized is a huge thrill. I met so many people doing really cool and unusual things. I met the Best Barber in Chicago (A woman!) and the people behind the Best Amateur Sports League (2 Women! Bocce ball!) and now I might start playing bocce ball. And so many others. The food by 8Hospitality was seriously AMAZING! Wish I’d taken some pictures. It felt like the first night since my book launched 7 months ago that I could really celebrate it – no pressure or book talk required!

The absolute best time competing with @shoogalicious in the @americanbocceco Women’s Tournament! 💃🏼💄🎀 There is nothing like seeing women supporting women(112 in fact) - especially on International Women’s Day. Even when you’re tested and have to play your old teammates 🥹… twice. ➡️ Swipe for our shining moment. ⭐️ Shout out to @billydrealme for catching it on film! 🙌🏻
