Every time I wear this shirt, someone stops me just to say, “Thank you.”
It truly makes my
heart happy.
The message is simple:
“Dear person behind me, the world is a better place with you in it.”
It reminds me that we never really know what someone else is going through. Sometimes a few kind words, a smile, or a small gesture can make all the difference.
Let’s support one another. Let’s encourage instead of criticize, lift each other up instead of tearing each other down, and remind people that they matter.
Imagine what a better world this would be if we all chose kindness every single day. You never know whose life you might brighten—or even change-with something so simple.
Be kind. Be the light. You matter, and so does everyone around you.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but it definitely hit home, and I felt it with every fiber of my being.
I paid attention when I didn’t get the invite. I paid attention when I didn’t get a thank you, an apology, or a simple phone call or text. I paid attention when a room went silent as I walked in, when people believed lies about me without ever asking me the truth, when they didn’t show up for me, and when my biggest life moments whether they called for congratulations or condolences or support were met with silence.
I paid attention to the disrespect, how people thought it was ok for me to deal with difficult situations but felt bad for others dealing with similar or same tough times and yes, I took it personally.
But somewhere along the way, I realized that if no one was going to clap for me, I had to learn to clap for myself. I stopped waiting for people to be there for me and found strength I didn’t know I had. Raised my boys alone and id do it all over again they helped me be strong i am proud of them today support them through their life. Some days broke me, some days brought me to tears, but every day I chose to keep going. Looking back now, I don’t just see the pain I see everything I survived. People I lost along the way.
So now I protect my peace. I stay in my own space, and if I choose to show up somewhere, consider it a blessing. I’ve raised the bar for who gets access to my spirit because I know the value of the woman I’ve become. My spirit is good, and I’m done allowing anything or anyone to pull me off the path God has for me.
Today, I celebrate me. I celebrate the woman I became through the hurt, the disappointment, the heartbreak, and the pain. I celebrate every lesson, every scar, and every victory that no one else saw.
I’m still here. I’m still standing. And that’s more than enough. ❤️ make sure YOU celebrate YOU!! Be kind you never know what someone is going through.

True change begins with a single open book. 📚✨

At HIK Library, we believe that a child's potential should never be defined by their postal code. In the Obunga slums, where resources are scarce but ambition is abundant, we are working to ensure that economic disadvantage does not translate to educational disengagement.

We provide more than just reading material; we provide a sanctuary for curiosity. The recent uptick in library visits is encouraging, but it is the quality of that time that matters most. We see students moving from passive memorization to active comprehension, honing critical thinking skills that will serve them long after they leave the classroom. We are not just supporting academic performance; we are nurturing lifelong learners who will lead their communities forward.

Monday morning reminder:
Make today a good day. Your vibe starts your day so choose it with intention.
No negativity when you carry it, it spreads like a sickness and brings everyone down.
Be like vitamin C: energizing, uplifting, and good for everyone around you.
Take a deep breath, set your focus, and go after what matters.
