August Residents at @the_macedonia_institute ✨🎨

I had the pleasure of photographing @charlierobertsstudio & @vicsensitive in their elements. Getting to witness both Charlie’s woodworking and Vic’s casting process was truly something special.

Weather and Politics, Victoria Duffee @vicsensitive

“That is also a terrifying thought because I exist and navigate within this model of capitalism. You probably do too, dear reader. Maybe – unless you’re in the future. So please bear with my foolishness. I went to art school.”

PRAKSIS Presents Issue 12: Your Pleasure, Our Pain features an illustrated essay by artist Victoria Duffee. This deeply personal and creative expression takes readers into Duffee’s own deeply conflicted position and her experience of pursuing clarity through her experience of the residency. The resulting work offers a refreshingly frank perspective on luxury; - as well as a method of seeing and experiencing that is deeply human.

What happens when landscapes are redesigned for extraction?

In a new PRAKSIS Presents text, artist and researcher Melissa Schwarz examines how emerald mining at Kagem in Zambia embodies the haunting legacy of capitalist extractivism.
Through the lens of hauntology, she traces how environmental, economic and social structures are reshaped, and how their absences linger.

«Cause when I leave for the night I ain´t coming back»

VR (5min loop)
Trollkrem 2017

Throwback to that Wednesday when @jenniebringaker and I invited friends in Oslo for a 🫧foam party🫧 with free tequila😵, so that we could document it all with a cheap portable 3D scanner for iPad we just got hold of, and then we threw it all together in a computer✨ I do Wonder if that file still excists…I recall it as being a joy to make But hell to install (certain elements always suddenly got lost). I can only find screengrabs of the raw scans, and Nothing showing How it ended up inside the VR glasses🤷‍♂️
