POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Eight years ago, we were in Vegas, still early in building this mastermind.

Today, 42 business owners from Australia, London, Dublin, Chile, Canada, and across America come together for three days, three times a year, with one goal: get better.

Work on the hard parts of business.

The decisions.
The problems.
The blind spots.
The conversations most people avoid.

That’s why proximity is power.

Get serious people in the same room, remove the noise, raise the standard, and growth starts happening faster.

There is an unbelievable amount of success in this room, and I’m proud of every person in it.

But what makes this group different is simple:

Nobody thinks success gives them permission to stop learning.

The better you get, the better the room needs to become.

And this room keeps getting better.

4 days at this Founders Reset Retreat in Alicante- how it changed my life.
ㅤ
I'll be honest. I went in a sceptic. But I came home with tools.
ㅤ
The silence got me first.
Not real silence. There were birds. But no supercars waking me at 3am like in Knightsbridge. It made me wonder if I could recreate that stillness at home. Not by scrolling to "relax," but by actually being still.
ㅤ
Breath and movement change your state.
The part the sceptic in me didn't expect. Box breathing. Spinal twists, eyes closed. Small things that shift how you feel in minutes.
ㅤ
Slowness isn't the enemy of ambition.
I run go-go-go until I fall into bed. Making space for slowness doesn't make you fall behind. It keeps you going.
ㅤ
Less phone. More clarity.
Four days, no reception. When I got my phone back, I didn't even want it. I'd told myself being instantly available made me productive. But the cost is overwhelm. Being a little less available isn't lazy. It protects you.
ㅤ
Nature is worth the effort.
The hikes in the foothills of Alicante gave me peace. We've talked for years about getting out of London at weekends. Now we mean it.
ㅤ
Joy counts as rest too.
I love dancing. I love painting. I keep meaning to make time and never quite do. Sometimes rest is doing the thing that lights you up.
ㅤ
Real conversations.
People love telling their stories. We're so British about it, holding back questions in case we look like we're prying. I want to take more conversations from the surface to the deep, on purpose.
ㅤ
Rest and stillness are not the opposite of ambition. They protect it.
ㅤ
We've already started spinal twists in our morning huddle. If stillness centres me, it will centre my team too 😁
ㅤ
Try some of it this week:
· Box breathing. In for four, hold four, out four, hold four.
· Ten minutes of stillness. No book, no phone.
· One phone-free hour a day.
· A proper walk in nature.
· One hour for something you love. Dance. Paint. Whatever it is.
· One deeper conversation. Ask the question. Actually listen.
ㅤ
You just have to make the space.

I had the privilege of spending time in a room full of dreamers, builders, and people committed to becoming the best version of themselves.

We talked a lot about mindset, and how the way we think shapes everything, our decisions, our leadership, our businesses, our relationships, and ultimately the lives we create.

I walked away feeling enlightened, empowered, energized, and challenged in all the right ways.

There’s something special about being surrounded by people who are willing to be vulnerable, share their experiences, and dream bigger together. The collective wisdom in that room was incredible.

A special thank you to @victoriacluney Your guidance, encouragement, and friendship continue to make an impact on so many lives. Thank you for creating a space where growth, honesty, and possibility can flourish.

We are all richer in mind and spirit because of your willingness to share your brilliance.

Grateful for the conversations, the lessons, the connections, and the reminder that who we become is just as important as what we achieve. 💚

May, what a month!

We wrapped up Project Westmin and captured gorgeous photos of it. Shoutout to the very talented @jordannbrown_imaging.

We also had our first design presentation meeting for Project Rosegarden, and it went so well. This project includes a mudroom expansion, powder room, and main bathroom renovation, all focused on bringing more function to the home. We’ll be finalizing selections this week, and I’m excited to start sharing some renderings soon.

This month also included a product knowledge session at Bex Interiors, where I learned about a new cabinetry line, plus some beautiful new lighting arrivals for Project Northern Pine.

I also attended @gohba_ottawa’s HOWL event, where we heard from some incredible women sharing their experiences navigating male-dominated industries. Such an inspiring evening, followed by an @ottrapidfc game.

I just attended a 3-day BILD Pro Mastermind with my business coach, @victoriacluney, at Chateau Cartier. These Masterminds bring together growth-minded entrepreneurs, and it’s always an incredible experience being in rooms like these. This is always where the magic happens 🤍

Looking back, not getting the starting quarterback position felt like the end of the world.

At the time, I wasn’t just disappointed for myself. I felt like I had let other people down too.

That moment lit a fire in me. It taught me how to work harder, dig deeper and push through adversity. But it also planted a belief that I always had to prove myself and never come up short again.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized there’s a difference between being driven by purpose and being driven by pressure.

The lesson wasn’t that I needed to be perfect.

The lesson was that setbacks don’t define you.

Sometimes the moments that hurt the most end up shaping who you become. 👊

After a year and a half of hosting monthly WE BILD Toronto meet-ups, @zoebrown_realtor and I have decided it is time to turn the page and close this chapter 🤍

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended our events and to all of the amazing guest speakers who generously shared their time, experiences, and insights on business, finances, investing, leadership, and wellness.

One thing we heard again and again from attendees was how much they appreciated the intimate nature of our events. Real friendships, partnerships, and connections were formed, and that is something we are incredibly proud of.

Building WE BILD in Toronto taught us so much about the importance of community and how powerful it can be when women come together to share ideas, experiences, and encouragement.

Thank you to everyone who supported us, spoke at an event, shared our work, or simply believed in what we were trying to create.

Finally, thank you @victoriacluney for the opportunity and for trusting us to bring this passion project to Toronto.

We hope to see you on June 3 for our last event! Register at webild.ca/toronto

A lot of men still think asking for help is weakness.
Like sitting down with a counsellor somehow makes you “less of a man.”

But honestly… avoiding the things that are eating you alive isn’t strength. Facing them is.

Over the last year and a half, conversations with my coach @allison.rees have helped me better understand guilt, shame, trauma, triggers and why some of us carry so much weight internally while pretending we’re fine externally.

For the longest time, I used to say “I’m just a guilty person.”
But what I eventually realized was… a lot of what I was carrying wasn’t guilt at all. It was shame.

And once I understood the difference, I could actually start working on it instead of just identifying with it.

I’ve learned that healthy guilt can actually be a good thing. It keeps us empathetic. It keeps us accountable. It keeps us human. But shame is different… shame convinces you that who you are is the problem.

As men, I think a lot of us were taught to suppress instead of process. But healing, growth and self-awareness don’t make you weak. They make you more present, more grounded and more capable of showing up for the people around you.

Real strength is being willing to do the work.

Some wounds don’t come from what happened to you…
they come from what never happened for you.

A lot of people spend their whole lives chasing approval they never got as a kid. Thinking if they just work harder, achieve more, become more… maybe then they’ll finally feel enough.

What hit me the hardest wasn’t hearing “I’m proud of you.” It was realizing how long I had gone without it…
and that getting it didn’t magically heal the part of me that needed it.

Healing isn’t always about finally receiving the thing you missed. Sometimes it’s about learning your worth was never supposed to depend on it in the first place.

If this conversation hits home for you… you’re not alone. 👊

People see someone speaking on stage and assume confidence comes naturally.

What they don’t see is the shaky hands, dry mouth, racing thoughts, and internal battle happening underneath it all.

The first time I spoke at a mastermind event, I was nervous as hell. Sweaty palms. Heart pounding. Trying to remember my words while pretending I was calm.

But looking back now… that moment mattered.

Not because the speech was perfect.
Because I did it anyway.

I think a lot of growth comes from putting yourself in rooms and situations that force you to confront parts of yourself you normally avoid.

Confidence isn’t built before the moment.
It’s built because of it.
