Here are some of the most difficult times to discipline children and why it doesn’t work.

✨When they are crying. When your children are crying, the best thing to do is help them and if you must, after they’ve calmed their emotions, take them aside and explain to them the situation so that they can understand.

✨When they are caught in the act of doing something that you’ve asked them no to do. Disciplining children in this situation can
-embarrass them,
-hurt them
-cause them to shut down
-cause them to become defensive
The best thing to do when your child is caught doing something you’ve asked them not to do is for you to listen. Ask questions like “why did you do that? What were you feeling? Do you want to re-talk about that agreement that we have?”

✨When your child is mad. When children are mad, the very best thing to do is to Be Available to them. Try to remain calm so that they can try and calm them self too. (Very challenging but possible.)

Sometimes the best things are truly free.
This Holiday, write a beautiful love letter to each of your children, put it under their pillows and ask them to read it out loud at breakfast time.
You can also ask that each child write letters to you parents and to each other. Also, parents, join in on the fun by writing love letters to each other as well.
This could become an added beautiful and memorable Holiday tradition for you and your family.

MY LIFE, MY CHOICE. I walked out that counseling section thinking “Thank the Heavens my therapist isn’t God, because I’ve got a different plan.”

And what she didn’t know, I wasn’t a victim, I actually was one of the lucky ones that made it through the war so I should have been celebrated and told “ you are smart and strong 💪🏾 for making through that war, now go used that same power, to make the best of your life.”

Hey Beautifuls Hey!!!😃
If your kids or yourself is anything like me and my gang, remembering to drink water when having fun this Memorial Day Weekend at the pool 🏊‍♀️ or beach 🏖 is the last thing on our minds BUT WE NEVER FORGET TO EAT😂😂😂
.
Here’s my secret to keeping them fully hydrated, energetic and not hungry... FRUITS!😆 🍇 🥝🍎🍉 .
Sliced or diced fruits of choice preferably fruits that are full of water like the ones above. Sliced each fruit and filled in doubled ziplock bags. Zipping the first bag tight and then putting it into another bag and zipping that one too. In a cooler full of ice, set the ziplock bags of fruits on top of the ice
.
Take along with you sandwich size ziplock bags, write each child’s name on their bag and when it’s time to serve the fruits, dish each persons portion in their bag, you can even add one or two ice cubes to the bags to help keep the fruits old as they eat it or if they are like my rabbits, the will eat the ice cubes too 😂😂😂

Saturdays are usually when All My Domestics side Comes Out and I LOVE IT 😻!!! EXCEPT when I have to Balance it with Wifey and Mothering duties. Ugh 😑
.

Here are 3 ways I Domesticate, Wifeycate and Mothercate all in one day. Ahhh hahahaha 😹😹😹
.

1 - wake up earlier then anyone else and do all the cleaning I want. (Folding The Laundry. Ugh 😫. Am I the only one who still haven't found the relaxation in folding clothes!? 😡😹)
.

2 - Grocery shop. I never know what I want to cook until I'm amongst the foods, then I just start coordinating colors and taste to create a recipe and voi- la!
.

3 - Get Rid Of My Husband and Kids. 😳😹😹😜 Yep! Every Saturday, from about 10:30 till 2:00 there's a man with two children roaming around the city homeless 🤣. Naaaaa, I usually packed them up some snacks and planned out FREE or CHEAP things for them to do. (Bookstore visits, Bike ride in the park, Pool 🏊, Michaels $2 an hour Art Classes... etc. Check your local Michaels for details)

3 - Show Your Children More Smiles on Your Face then Frowns. And if you have to frown or be sad, explain to them why you are feeling that way WITHOUT CASTING BLAMES on another. (BUTTTT the Real Lesson comes when you Show STRENGTH By turning that sad into smiles faster then they expected. .

4 - SHOW Affection to wards their Father in front of them. Give him a kiss at the dinner table. Rub his hair during a relaxing family movie and when he's not around and you miss him, tell your children. " I miss your dad, can't wait to see his face in an hour". .

5 - MAKE TIME FOR YOUR CHILDREN. Designate certain days in the week with creative names for FAMILY FUN TIME. Here Are Some Of Mine:
Family Movies Night, Park Wednesdays, Art Saturdays, Fat Fridays etc. with Fat Fridays Being my personal Favorite. .
